?? Surely there is. I know Spider gone but I thought there's a new theme this year with helicopters or something. Sure u not getting confused with Rabbit hole going?

Was referring to the spider. Nothing announced yet.

  2. I love the 2 days before the madness starts. What needs to happen, to help a little on the Thursday, is bring back the silent disco. There is not enough going on to spread the crowd over the site. Last 2 years have been horrendous with overcrowding.

Bring back the silent discos, always used to be a decent draw on Thursdays and there being more than one location was a big help.  Having acts play on Thursdays was always an issue, I remember the carnage of Maximo Park in 2009, felt like the entire festival turned up.

Have been saying that since they have gone!

That Maximo set was my first experience of Glastonbury, it was a nightmare

So definitely surprised and delighted that Asha Puthli is actually a lock.

Never heard of her before. Had a listen. Will be there. Fantastic find thank you.

Some seem to think Foos for Reading 2025 might be also possible.

    Could be either/or imo.

Oh don’t say that means I’ll have to volunteer there again next year! lol Was going to be my last one this year for the Prodigy

You add a Chaka Khan, Stevie Nicks and a Pulp and you have a little more of that oomph.

Still truly baffled at the former.

Still can’t believe Chaka Khan. Thought she was 1000% playing

  7. I was very disappointed when the lineup came out but looking at it again I’ve got a few acts that I’ve wanted to see before and haven’t.
Paul Heaton, Cyndi Lauper, Micheal Kiwanuka, Keane, Jungle, Steel Pulse and  London Grammar.

Plus Coldplay and Orbital I should be ok.

I think there was certainly an element of showing off on the part of the booker(s). Though that's not unique to WG, plenty stages have done that and will probably continue to do so.

Their final year, in 2022, on the Thursday they had:
    - Melanie C (doing a DJ set, but not marked as such on the lineup so plenty thought it'd be live)
    - Bastille (doing a heavily hinted at "secret" set)
    - Elvana (guaranteed to draw a decent crowd at festivals, especially when there's minimal competition)
    - Guilty Pleasures (likewise)

I won't guess what the numbers would have been if it had been effective unknowns instead of that - but I do think those acts definitely brought a decent number of extra bodies into the area.

Also add Deptford Northern Soul Club and Michael Eavis and his band! It was rammed all day.

  9. Well speaking as someone who is on duty Thursday night this has got carnage written all over it unless they are playing in a big field!
