Reckon they’ll add a hardcore show on the Friday in Manc? Or would that defeat the purpose
Don't think so, would defeat the purpose and sort of split the crowd. Seems that the Friday isn't selling as well as the other two days.
Have heard of a local promoter putting something on but no idea who is playing. Guessing it would probably be at Rebellion.

That Saturday is horrendous for me. Broco, Turner and Wargasm. Yikes! Think Sweet Pill is the only band they added that I like.

They had some last minute issues with releasing the last one so I think this will be back to the morning. I reckon 10... But possibly 11.
James (organiser) basically confirmed on his new podcast some people were kicking up a fuss about positions on the poster which is why it was delayed last time. I am expecting a 10am drop as per usual.
He also basically ruled out Menzingers for this year as he said he tried to book them on the latest episode.

Agree with this. The lineup is decent this year, but theres nothing comparing to the last couple of years when we've had Knocked Loose, Kublai Khan, Zulu, Chelsea Grin, Heriot etc.
Isn't really a big hitter this year but there's quite a bit further down the line up. Grove Street, Cauldron, Cruelty, Burner, Negative Frame and Overpower all go hard. Even regular hardcore is well represented, Better Lovers, Gouge Away, Angel Du$t, 68, Shooting Daggers and Inhuman Nature. Plenty to see imo. Feels more representative of where UKHC and Metalcore is at the moment than who we had last year.

No word about getting the last headliner in the blurb right?
Wasn't mentioned but the last announcement didn't mention a headliner being announced as well before surprising everyone with The Chats.

Some predictions (/hopes) for the announcement (I don't think we'll get the final headliner yet)...
Los Campesinos!, The Menzingers, Drug Church, Bleed From Within, Stray From The Path, SeeYouSpaceCowboy, Bilmuri, The Callous Daoboys, Dying Wish, Gel, King Prawn, The Subways, Speed, Tellison
Gel and Callous Daoboys are at Downlowd and have announced tours surrounding so can pretty much rule them out. Speed also don't seem to be sticking around after Download.

Can't see them saying "so far" in relation to this announcement?

Missing Link added to the Saturday and some stuff moved around. Never Ending Game, Magnitude, Gridiron and Scarab moved to the Saturday and Bug Bath and Wrong Man moved to the Sunday.
No more artists to be added to the Sat-Sun but a preshow and side shows will be announced soon. Still a few more for the Friday as well.
-
Looks like they also added Scarab and Gridiron as well! Really happy with Gridiron as I missed Northern Unfest last year

Maybe Have Heart? - But they did S&F back in 2019 if I'm correct so might not be repeated
Guitarist has dismissed this. Think this whole rumour started a few weeks ago when Pat deleted all of his personal posts and changed it to a Have Heart account but that was months ago. He also changed the bio to "Band Archive Page".

People asking for Title Fight on Outbreak posts are hardcore equivalent of the people that ask for Arctics on R&L socials.

Same time as Sound and Fury's announcement. Wonder if we do have a little reunion in store...
Would like to clarify that I don't think it's going to be Title Fight.

Got to remember it's a different venue this year, same as 2022 - there was an outdoor part of the Venue if they choose to use that (weather dependent)
Clashfinder will show how bad the clashes were over previous years but I remember 2022 not being that bad and with the stages about a 30 second walk from each other very easy to switch between the two.
I mean, it was still a 30 second walk between the two stages this year. Managed to do runs of Narrow Head > Speedway > Scowl and Zulu > Buggin > Speed and didn't miss a single second.
Bowlers can have a 3rd stage, Damnation had one in 2022 but it's where the skating and art stuff was for Outbreak. They could use the outdoor arena (think they will, the vip perks mentions an outdoor viewing platform) but the outdoor space for 2022 was used to food, merch and podcasts. Gonna be a tight fit wherever they put the new stage.

I don't think so. Would have been announced yesterday (or earlier, no reason to hold them back) and can't see them co-headlining with Basement. Way too big for that now.

Last year Saturday and Sunday was set up so there were no clashes, you could easily go from stage to stage and catch every set, Friday was bad though.
There was a 10 min overlap between most artists though? Like 2nd stage artists did typically start right after main stage finished but most were due to finish 10 mins into the next main set.
Also, 100% going to be more clashes this year. 54 artists plus at least one more headliner to come for the Sat-Sun while last year had 60 across 3 days. There's gonna be an additional stage and there's going to be clashes.
-
Honestly think that Lana will above Fred Again... on the line up. She's the reason why day tickets for Saturday at Reading at £195 right now.
-
Not bad tbh. If I could get a cheap weekend ticket that would deffo entice me but not too sure if I could be bothered dealing with that crowd again. Even then do want to do Blink day. Them, Prodigy (if they're don't clash), Denzel Curry and Neck Deep is enough to get me down. Would have to know if Blink and The Prodigy clash before committing.
Also everyone going needs to listen to Militarie Gun, phenomenal band.

Ooft.. potential of SLS and Manchester Orchestra clash?
The stages are done on a case by case basis. I highly doubt The Axiom and Main will clash on the Thursday.
3 minutes ago, Gummy de Milo said:So still a few spaces on main by the looks of it, as well as space on The Axiom and The Cave. Are Angel Du$t headlining the Cave on Sunday?
Them and Better Lovers being headliners sound about right.

The Chats is the weakest headliner they have had in years. Some bands below them are bigger. Really don't know why they went for them.

Not sure how you're going about this but if you Google site:2000trees.co.uk/line-up
It should list all the hits
Doesn't show any of the recent artists

Kneecap for Saturday evening Forest Session.
This was last year.
Just as an fyi, if the page included a set time then it is leftover data from last year.

Heart Attack Man on The Cave on Friday
This is just left over data from last year. Same stage and time slots as when they played last year.

I was just coming on to ask what time the announcement would be. Either lunchtime or 5pm then?
Socials and email said "Tuesday morning" so presumably before noon. My guess is 11am is now.

The crossover between Trees and Download is minimal. They share some acts but typically tends to be ones lower down the line up.
57 minutes ago, chazwwe said:From what I remember they normally don't share too many acts, especially the bigger ones. I genuinely thought Electric Callboy and Enter Shikari were gonna be at Trees.
Never understood why people thought that Callboy would be at Trees, really don't seem like they fit the vibe personally.

Pretty confident that all stages will have no barrier. Not sure why the outdoor stage will be any different.
