Where can I get a cheap single hob camping stove. They are £20 in argos which is steep

Wilkos? Decathlon? Go outdoors? - Not too sure if you have a B & M near where you live, but lots out there much cheaper than Argos.... Dont forget to get additional gas cannisters.  Have an amazing time!!!

is it possible to get into campervan field (with someone who has a campervan ticket but not yourself) and then walk through into the festival ?

And also when does CV field open?

Im asking for a friend who is adamant you can.

Yes, but you still have to have a ticket, my son did this a couple of years ago to pitch our tent.

  3. So I made my first batch of Rhubarb  Gin.... bloody amazing! but it only really lasted for about 6 weeks then turned into some sort of rocket fuel!! The recipe I followed said it should last for about 6 months? so can anyone tell me what I may have done wrong?

    The  recipe I used was

    70cl Gin / 400g Rhubarb/ 50g Sugar/ juice from 1/2 Lemon

    Filtered through coffee filters

    Thanks

I bought this from Amazon, I got 6 day of full battery from in recently.

someone on here suggested charging whilst awake and not over night because it won't stop sending power even when the phone is full. So first thing in the am when you get up

I have an Anker one and it switches off as soon as the phone is charged - I always charge up at  night, it charges faster when your phone is not in use... you will have an amazing time!

We've been given an email saying we've got a spot reserved. I'm a bit worried that it's on a 1st come 1st serve basis and that by the time we turn up our email confirmation will be worthless.

Do you think that just means that you will be pitched on a first come first served basis... so nothing to do with actual access to the site?

Hello all, new here.  I have my ticket for Glastonbury this year (so excited), and was planning to do general camping, but a change in circumstance means I would like worthy view.  I would only want a 2 man scout tent.  Any ideas if there is likely to be a resale for this as well as tickets?

    Thank you :)

Tangerine Fields have announced they will have a few tents on sale on 23rd April (resale day) may be worth a look? :D

I had mine the other day but haven't had one for my son who is registered with the same email address. Not an issue though, I had confirmation of booking last October.

I'm not worried, I double checked earlier in the week to make sure ticket was actually there (you never know!) I get exited when I receive it though, its all part of the build up! :D

We used Love Fields last year; you can use your camping stove etc...

I would say it's good for car being close, dedicated space (lots of it) and clean wash facilities; you are paying for convenience.

However, you do suffer sound bleed from the festival below, in fact it's quieter inside the fence at ground level.

The £400 they charge to 'pitch your own' you could dine out very well on camped inside the fence; you wouldn't need your stove.

It was OK, and we would have gone back this year but can't justify the cost. (£100 price hike is taking the piss Owen if you're reading this).

Thanks for this, we've stayed at WV for the past few years and you could hear all sides of the festival - we're staying there for the convenience so the noise is not something that bothers me to be honest.  But I do tend to wake up early when I'm in a tent so wanted to be able to make an early morning cuppa!

    That's not very nice ;-P

Sorry... I'm not too sure what I've said wrong?? If, I'd have been on the forum on the day, I would have seen it and gone to find him, I wasn't aware of the efforts to get him in - can you explain?

  12. @parsonjack so glad you got in!  I arrived around 2.30 from Leicester, others in our group made the drive of faith from Manchester - with no expectations of getting in but just a lot of hope!  after speaking to a few people I got the feeling that there would be tickets on the door, but didn't want to bank on it!  Apparently after speaking to someone who lived locally,  some people who received the airline tickets didn't know what they were for and hadn't checked in or in some cases had thrown them away!! I looked at the forum a couple of times but hadn't got my glasses with me so it was a struggle!  I wish I'd have know about your efforts... we were stood at the top of the steps on the left hand side and at around 6.00pm, they put some pedestrian barrier at the side of us - this was excruciating as my brain was now telling me we were in a queue!! When I asked why they'd put it there - they told us it was for our own safety, it was a car park after all.  As it turned out they formed the standby queue behind us...Amazing !!!  Not knowing what you look like did we speak to you???

Just had a look back through the thread and found your picture.... bugger
