Now we're into June it doesn't feel too far away. I assume we're likely to get day/stage splits some time later this month?

Blimey, how did you work around that?!
AA came and towed the car to a safe space at Gloucester services. I then slept in the car (seeing as it was about 2am on Wednesday morning), woke up early and managed to hitchhike to the festival. I left my car keys with the garage at the service station and the car got recovered to home.
Was all a bit of a nightmare and pretty stressful way to start the festival. But I was glad to still make it to the fest on the Weds!

2017: great company, decent weather, just had a good laugh all weekend. Saying that, although Radiohead are probably my favourite band, I'm in the camp that didn't actually enjoy it that much at the time, something just didn't click
2013: first time, loved it.
2014: solid year
2022: crashed my car on the way down on the Tuesday
2016: muddy and felt ill for most of it. As others have said, vibes were off after Brexit vote.
Funny how in retrospect the bands you've seen are not that important, it's the 'macro' factors (weather, company etc.) you remember most

Had a great day yesterday. Highlights for me were Baxter Dury, Future Islands, and the Cribs. Seasons by Future Islands probably best moment/singalong of the day.
Cribs were on cracking form and played a great setlist. Did anyone see what it was Ryan picked up at one point - looked like a card? He seemed to stick his middle finger up at it then rub it on his crotch?!
Baxter Dury played a really dancey number to close his set - anyone know what that one was?
Seemed a well organised event overall. Beers were expensive but what do you expect. Sound quality in the Clash tent seemed sub-par at times, seemed better over at the Temple.

They ran the shuttle bus last year, so reckon it should be fine. It drops off by the entrance. Parking is also easy if you happen to have a non-drinker with you.
Thanks. We potentially do have a non-drinker come to think of it - so that's an option too
-
Got tickets via TfG (thanks @sheffinghell for the tip off). Thinking of booking the shuttle bus, which will hopefully be a convenient way to get in and out (and cheaper than taxis). Have they run the shuttle bus in years past/would people recommend it?

Would recommend Mould who are playing on the Saturday. Saw them last weekend in Leeds. Really inventive three-piece from Bristol. The bassist jerks around like Ian Curtis - looks quite like him too. The drummer is absolutely brilliant as well

Happening on Saturday 16 November this year - so a month later than the last couple of years. First lineup announcement this week. Early bird tickets still seem to be available as of today but are apparently going off sale soon. Always a cracking event so looking forward to the first announcement

Final artist of the summer being announced at midday today

it is about the music really. music isnt.the only thing but its a big thing
As Nigel Clough didn't say, I wouldn't say music is the best thing about Glastonbury...but it's in the top one

Doesn't really matter now...but do we know which act was 51.05254758326447, -1.7005875500564496 / George Barclay dog beds / "A cat named Anne" now?! It's been bugging me

With the four headliners listed, does that mean Fri - Big Thief; Sat - Sampha followed by Jon H; Sun - Mods? Or does it mean one of them is playing on Thursday?
Sorry - question already answered above
-
That lineup is stacked! Buzzing!
-
Both Gruff Rhys and Bill Ryder-Jones not playing according to a GM twitter reply. Was hoping BRJ would be there
-
New clue: 51.05254758326447, -1.7005875500564496. Co-ordinates to George Barclay dog beds. Not a scooby - unless it's Fat Dog but that doesn't seem a great clue
-
Just seen that Father John Misty is supporting Kacey Musgraves in the US in September. Probably an unrealistic shout but could he come over to headline GM as a one-off?

What about Real Estate? New album out today. Maybe as a late afternoon mountain/far out?
Hoping for this - enjoying their new album. No radical departure from their trademark sound but some nice songs on there. Hopefully they come over to Europe in the late summer. Could see them being added to the Death Cab day at APE if they do

the GM team are involved in some of the stages
Didn't realise this. Quite intrigued though, do you know what parts of Glastonbury are booked by the GM team?

St David's Day is starting to feel like the obvious announcement date (Fri 1st March). It sounds like they will send out a pre-announcement to the announcement.
Last year they tweeted on 17 February (a Friday) that the lineup would be out on 1 March. So if they are sticking with 1 March this year, we can expect the 'announcement of the announcement' any time now

Unknown Mortal Orchestra playing Project House in Leeds on 4 July (the day before their support slot for the National at Crystal Palace)
-
Air doing Moon Safari in full on 26 June - decent booking

Future Islands' tour dates keep them in contention for GM. They're in Europe in early Aug and only back in North America in September
-
Hope they've booked the Magic Gang - they're playing three "farewell" gigs in the week LAL
