  1. My first time taking our van (and in fact my first Glasto since 2013!). It’ll just be me in the van - leaving hubby and the kids at home and going with mates 💪

Am I mad to want to leave the awning at home? I can’t stand having it attached, feels claustrophobic and I like being able to open the door to fresh air! When we need extra space at a campsite we take our bell tent and pitch it next to the van due to my awning issues…

Photo of Clive, although I see a lot of VW hate in this thread!

I also preferred those days where it took an hour+ because it meant the most determined were staying to the bitter end and slowly getting better odds as people got bored and gave up!

I think this is part of it for me, and also because when it’s over as fast as it was today i feel like I didn’t get a chance, I think as frustrating as an hour+ of hitting F5 is I do at least feel like I had a chance even if unsuccessful!

Can't see it myself. Why would they get up early on a Sunday and put themselves through this. And then put the ticket back in the pot a few days later. I think the term is 'clutching at straws'.

Oh how I long for the days when 9am on a Sunday was “getting up early”

All I can say to that is USE CONTRACEPTION FOLKS!

Not an idiot, exactly how i got tickets last year and after the main sale this year!

Yep me too but as I understand it with the new system it’s unlikely to get anywhere as no payments failing

  5. Will my first since 2014 (when I was pregnant with our eldest). Will be leaving my husband at home to look after our three boys whilst I return to the happiest place on earth with four friends. Still getting my head around the fact that we actually got tickets… now just the small task of three CV tickets to get 🙈

  6. This will be my first Glasto since 2014, and first with a camper! So I am completely clueless…

Do I vaguely recall the CV pass sale has previously been in the middle of a weekday or am I imagining that?

Is it brutal like the ticket sale or manageable if you’re organised (we need three passes between our group)?

Which field do I try for? Have seen there are some other sites close by too - any benefits of going for one of these?

Thanks in advance you lovely lot!

  7. So, totally missed the announcement and assumed T-day was this coming Sunday. Hoping to go with a group of friends who haven't been before (or not for many many years!) and nagged them incessantly to get registered before Monday just gone as was sure that was the last day.  Now feel like a total muppet AND have the torture of waiting another month!

Am I the only one who secretly enjoys ticket day?  Just a tiny bit?  Although the last ticket day was my first ever failure, which has taken the shine off a bit...

  8. Good luck all! Up all night with a restless toddler so really not on top form....

Quick question as irpts my first T-day in a couple of years and I've forgotten (or maybe it's no longer even an issue?!) - if I get in, enter rev details then the next page doesn't load, do I'm refresh or hit "back"?

i really hope that makes sense to someone... Please bear in mind I've not slept since early 2015 thanks to aforementioned toddler....

  9. I have been consistently successful in every main sale and resale (for others) for the last five festivals. I also managed to get coach tickets on Thursday for a fiend with no trouble. Sunday morning however was horrific - I saw the holding page a few times, but mostly just the white screen of death. Fortunately a friend got through for us, but it was incredibly frustrating.

  10. So after missing this year as I wasn't brave enough to do the festival with a five month old, and a lot of debating over next year we now have tickets for 2016! But I remain rather anxious about it all! Not so much about getting around - I'm a big fan of babywearing and am already planning what new wraps I'll need to take with us! But things like where to camp - am I right in thinking the family camping fills up ridiculously fast? What do you do if there is no space? Silly question but I'm not sure I'd want a toddler in some of the other fields on the site, with the risk of being squashed by someone falling on the tent. Is Worthy View worth a consideration? Anything else I should know about taking the little man?

Off to have a look at Glasto Earth but would value any advice!
