I have nowt against Metallica, but they're not my cup of tea, and (like others) there's a few acts I would love to see in a headline set. Therefore, I'm going to continue clutching at straws...

Here goes...

Pharrell & Nile Rogers are both in the UK at the start of July... And Daft Punk will struggle to play live without their support (ala Gorillaz + associated acts 2010). Also the high £fees to be paid to all these acts means slightly cheaper acts on the Friday and Sunday (similar to Mumford and AM providing cash for the Stones last year).

So, based on these wild assumptions... Daft Punk.

(It is Metallica, though)

I wandered into the Dance Village mid afternoon in 2007 (I think in search of respite from the rain).

!!! Came on and played a set that just got EVERYONE dancing. It started as a foot tap, but by the end the whole tent was jumping. Went to see them in the Glade the next day & seen 3 his since.

The joys of wombling.

(Also finding a tent showing DangerMouse and Count Duckula at 3am in 2008, no idea where this happened though...)

My hangovers manifest themselves as a feeling that I'm going to vomit at any second. Caffeine makes it worse...

Last Glasto I took a bottle of Peptol Bismal. A swig before bed and a swig in the morning (twinned with the above water and dooralyte) calmed that right down. Couldn't say if this is in any way recommended practice.

Breakfast definitely helps too, even if the benefits take a little while to kick in.

[What have you done today to get ready for Glasto?]

I'm away visiting the in laws at the moment, and so my mind has turned to Pilton in June...

This year is a bit of a reset for me, I need all new gear and, as such, have spent hours studying tents, stoves and working out my plan of what needs to be carried from the car on trip 1, and what can wait till Thursdays trek to the car.

Here's hoping for a more favourable spot than the hour each way I enjoyed in 2011...

Anyway, can't wait for this year, Glasto number 6 for me already daydreaming about taking that first walk up to the stone circle... Looking forward y chipping in on the forums as the excitement builds.
