I find her music awful, her personality worse, every interview I've seen drives me up the wall. All opinion of course, not attempting to change your mind, but there's something about her that really really riles me up. Can't think of anybody else in contemporary music I find anywhere near as banal while masquerading as deep

This is exactly how I feel about Adele, complete blackboard scratcher. No idea who Doha cat is

My wife works with Jonn, I'll see if I can get any insider information for you

    that's great, thank you.

I know they're doing Beautiful Days, which I am going to, but would love to see them at Glastonbury....missed them the last time they were there

You’ll enter oxfam camp from the car park so leaving with your stuff to go into the main festival would be obvious.  In 2019, I had a space in a tent with my friends at Michaels Mead and I ‘accidentally’ slept there a few times and went back for my shower and meals. Not much can be done about that if you see what I mean 😂

    This.

You'll have to pitch in the Oxfield for the days pre Wednesday anyway. So if you have friends on-site just stay with them and leave your stuff in the Oxfield.

As long as you do your shifts....all good

To make it work you'd pretty much have to open most of the festival that day, which would be a massive licensing no no.

People would be naturally drawn to any live entertainment on a big stage, especially with nothing up against them. You could stick the fucking Kaiser Chiefs on the Pyramid on a Thursday and I guarantee 100,000 people will turn up.

I just can't see the festival wanting to have more open on a Thursday.

I think they've got the balance perfect right now with a chilled build up that also promotes footfall through Greenfields/greenpeace. I can't see them wanting to impact this aspect of the festival/site?

I find Frank Turner’s lyrics painfully obvious. I like his music and he is clearly a very good guy, but fuck me, he doesn’t do allusion or metaphor very well.
He also comes across as a bit of a nerd who’s found themselves in the position of rock star. When he swears on stage he has the air of a naughty school boy who looks like they’re going to be found out for saying a bad word.

I like a big chunk of Frank's stuff but can't argue much with the above.

Then again....I agree with the original post that the latest album is very good, it definitely won't completely dispense with your previous views, but worth a listen .

The album has however introduced me to Frightened Rabbit. How had I missed these before. I've been absolutely blown away by their music and Scott's lyrics.....wonderful and devastatingly sad at the same time
