  1. Yes it was a complete opposite, My brothers got tickets last year on early bird, we decided that I could not go without a fest this year so we tagged along, lol was not expecting much but it was posh, lol and expensive for food! but there were a few bands I saw theta were fab, and some were terrible, but thats like anywhere. I loved OMD, Tony Hadley and Jimmy, but I was looking forward to Kool and thr Gang as I missed them at Glastonbury last year but I didnt enjoy their set. camping was pleasent but like you say the amount of stuff people took was totally unreal, I travelled light :D

  2. I took a baby portable potty to my last festival, lol it has disposable liners so your wee stays in a sealed bag that are earth friendly :) clean easy to use portable and don't smell :) it folds up small but we have a problem deciding which tent to take, we have a gelert ds 4 pop up, really great tent but very big once folded, so do we carry that on a truck or get another 4 man. Oh more money lol

  3. I like the wrist band idea, I didn't get to the meet last year as of arrived at 5am and it took us a long time to walk and camp so by the time we got through the mud and found our bearings I missed the meet by an hour :( I have been reading on here for some time but didn't really think about posting but I like all the information here and so far the people that post here a lot :) so would love to try and meet some of you next year, wristbands are easy to get printed and cheap too I think.

  4. Yes I think weight wise I am ok, over a stone lighter than last Glastonbury :) so I am really going to get fitter by walking and swimming, anything to help me last longer on that hike, it took us 5 hours last time as of parked so far away, e9 and camped in pylon so next time I want to be ready as we collapsed in bed by 1am,lol

  5. We had 5 houses with 4 to 5 computers hooked up in each place with 3 browsers open on each, I started first at half 8, got in to registration page at 8.50 using firefox, had to press back then re send over and over while refreshing all other pages until half 9 when I finally got to payment page, pressed submit and 8 happy people :) my son got to registration page down stairs once but not one other person in our group got any further than page loading, I seriously almost had heart attack going through this, it was way too much pressure to get it all right, lol seriously shouting at everyone to shut up while I typed it all out. Then to top it off at payment page I realised I was main booker but we had my brothers card details as it was easy to get the money to him, I was shitting it as I didn't think we could do that, it was all my details with address, so had to grab my card and transfer the money right away from my brother, thank god it went through ok, they took 3 days to take the tickets money :) after I got our tickets I could easily get to registration page on every browser, so I asked my Facebook friends if anyone wanted tickets and give me their details, seriously 2 people gave me their car registration lol, didn't realise the Glastonbury process! Got one friend that knew what he was doing but got to payment and it was sold out! Gutted for them so will be trying for them in April :)

  6. Hey everyone, I have been reading this forum for a few years but not posted, I am signed up but It's easiest to log in with Facebook :) I had the best and worst time ever at my first Glastonbury last year, it was the worst because of he amount of physical effort we had to put in, never carried so much and walked so far! I had not long had a baby last year so was carrying some extra weigh, I have lost that now and am back to 8.5stone I am 5.5 tall. But I really want to get fitter for next year. I need to fit it into looking after 4 kids and family and a self employed business so this looks great to come and chat to people with similar goals :) I have used fitness pal app to help me :)

  7. Last time we left Torbay at 3am on the Thursday morning, we arrived at 5 with no one around, all campers we either walking to their spot or asleep, only trouble we had was parking in E9 as we were diverted and walking right through site to be told by staff ( people in yellow coats) that every field was full, we ended up camping in pylon, long walk of 5 hours :(

  8. After my muddy experience last Glastonbury I would wear wellies even though I lost feeling in my toes for 6 months after! As my DM boots would never withstand that mud. But if its not swimming in water I will be taking my boots and leave them in the car. I have new wedge wellies as they are better for my back and I now have memory foam in soles which are fab :)

  9. Of course I would say ebay as everything is on there and lots of well known shops too, but go outdoors has been good for us when they have deals on, we have a membership card thing that I think you need but its only £5 for the year. I check out charity shops at this time of year too as people give away camping stuff that I find perfect for festivals so you don't worry your new stuff :)

  10. I booked yesterday and I was the main buyer but we had money in my brothers account, but when it came to the last page it was all in my name and address and it asked for my card details, we nearly passed out as didnt want to go back a page, so we used my savings account and then got the money transferred from my brother right away, that was stressful! I bookid for 8. I am not sure if it would have been declined as usually you have to match card with delivery adddress, it was not worth the risk so I am wondering did anyone use a card that was not theirs?
