  1. Was reading the program for 2010 earlier and got me thinking how many bands etc are actually on and how it is organised.

It has been said before that the festival cannot afford to pay the big fees to headliners that others do but what about the smaller bands? Do they all get paid as well..?

For example how much would an up and coming band like Two Door Cinema Club get paid or do they do it for the exposure and extra sales they get through playing the festival?

Do all the bands and performers get free tickets for mates etc or is this done through record companies etc

Would all the even smaller bands and Djs get appearance fees and what amounts are we talking about? I can imagine a few years back there were a few big wedges of cash knocking about but would be interested to see how it all works now if anyone has been involved in the organisational side...

  2. I could here it from my mums back garden whilst eating some scones etc as I was visiting at the time...sounded pretty loud

My mum didn't really rate it that much...!

I've seen a few bands in Milton Keynes before Baby D and The Outhere Brothers to name but p9768o553243

  3. Loads of people would go mad for Take That at Glastonbury so would draw a big crowd. If they are on I think it would be better on Sunday though. I thought I read on here people were pretty sure that U2 would not return next year.NOTW is probably not averse to making stuff up ..

Unrelated to the topic but I just watched the Jedward cover of Blink 182 on that link! Maybe Emily could book them as one of the heavier acts people are calling for..

  4. I'm not against them being booked, each to their own and everything, but I was taken to see them a couple of years ago and they're weren't fantastic. Expect loads of randy thirty something women screaming incessantly at the top of their voices.

All things being relative I think they'll be better having Robbie back and doing the older stuff to be honest.

  5. Never really got Orbital for some reason. I am a fan of dance music but Orbital leave me cold, always seemed a bit geeky and plinky plonky and people who weren't really into dance stuff seemed to like it (massive generalisation alert!! )

I have never seen them live though so maybe thats where I am going wrong...

  6. I saw a hammered girl climbing up a flag pole near the other stage. It did not look like she had any underwear on and was revealing a lot to the people below.

Someone (who I don't think she knew) was taking a few photos of the event but the girl seemed to be having a great time.

It was also near the Growler Stall which made me chuckle <_<

  7. I like a good flare but was stood behind someone at Stevie Wonder who had one that failed to light properly . Cue a massive amount of black smoke which pretty much smoked out a good section of the field,

    not a pleasnt experience
