  2. Well I would heartily suggest a good listen to The View's new album. And even if their output isn't up to the standard of the first album (which in my eyes is a start-to-finish classic) they have had their moments and have a wicked (is that still a word to describe good things?) live repertoire.

Anyway, enough of me bigging up The View. I sound like I work for them.

Just noticed something magic though - Rockaoke on the Sunday. Anyone know where I can get my hands on a Justin Hawkins-style catsuit? I am going to raaaaaawwwwwkkkkkkk the socks off the Houseparty tent. Massively off key styley.

  3. Good evening. Thought I might as well join in the fun. Second KC coming up and I have no doubts that the weather will be even better than last year, no worries. God's a good mate of mine and he told me all about it.

    Errrrrmmmmmmmm, top threes then?

Friday - Admiral Fallow, The Correspondents, Little Barrie

Saturday - Sound of Guns, The View, Tribes

Sunday - Twisted Wheel, We Are Scientists, Vintage Trouble

Also, has anyone noticed that The View's website has them at KC for all three days? Prolly means nowt, but here's hoping for more than one performance.

  4. Count me in. I was wondering what to do for next year, but I shall wonder no more.

If I bring a load of smelly alkis along with me do you think I could curate my own area? I was thinking of calling it Trampfields and it'll just be a load of blokes in piss-stained trousers sat in carboard boxes drinking cheap booze.

  5. I have a KC question if you don't mind.

Upon arrival, is it necessary to get your wristband first or can you set up camp first and sort out the wristband later?

Also, I take it there's no limit on how many times you return to the car for extra beer, food, dry clothes etc?

    Ta.

  6. It's going to be my first time at Kendal Calling and I would like a little advice on camping. I notice that there is a quiet campsite and a noisy campsite and I'm not sure which one to choose. I suspect the quiet campsite would be more up my street as after the headliners are finished I'm usually ready to hit the hay, but is it so quiet that you're not allowed to sit around and chat after the bands are finished? And is the noisy campsite like a party all night long? I fear I may be somewhere in the middle.

Also, I notice you can't have fires, but are disposable BBQs allowed?

One more thing - how far is it from car park to campsite?

And one final thing - does anybody know the capacity of this festival?

    Cheers all.
