Wolverton Food & Folk Festival 2012

Wolverton Manor, Shorwell provide the backdrop to this island event which returns for it's second year. The celebration of all that's good about the Isle of Wight's local food & music talent takes place from 12pm until 8pm on Saturday 12th May 2012.

Line-up

The live music stage will provide a full programme, featuring the best of the island's Folk & Blues musicians, from acoustic duos to full electric bands, including Beachcomber, Lucid, The Whisky River Band, Scarecrow, MoonShiners, Rachel's Reason, Grizzled Skipper, Jamie Griffin, The Herd and The DollyMopps.

£5 in advance or £6 entry on gate. Children aged under 12 free. Advance tickets available from: The Village Shop, Brighstone, Shorwell Shop, Briddlesford Farm Shop, and Waterstone's bookshop, Newport.

With an IW real ale beer tent, BBQ, Tea tent serving cream teas & cakes plus Bouncy Castle, Face Painting, Zumba Workshop and other children's activities, and a local food market will showcase the Island's food suppliers and producers.

In aid of Leukaemia Research and Brighstone School, the event will include 'taster menus' within tented cafes, serving an interesting variety of freshly cooked local produce.

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses on the island.
