Wolverton Food & Folk Festival 2011


Wolverton Manor, Shorwell will provide a backdrop to a new Island event. Wolverton Food & Folk Fair takes place over the May Bank holiday weekend, on Sunday 29th May 2011. The first Wolverton Food & Folk Fair looks set to be a celebration of all that's good about the Isle of Wight's local food & music talent from 12pm until 8pm.

Line-up

The live music stage will provide a full programme, featuring the best of the Island's Folk musicians. Current Line-up includes: The Dance Preachers, Revenge of The Lawn, Whiskey River Band, Beachcomber, MoonShiners, Grizzled Skipper, We Are Briddlesford, Sandra O'Toole, and Cardinal Richelieu.

£5 entry on gate. Children aged under 12 FREE.

With an IW real ale beer tent, BBQ, Tea tent serving cream teas & cakes plus Bouncy Castle, Face Painting, Zumba Workshop and other children's activities, and a local food market will showcase the Island's food suppliers and producers.

In aid of Leukaemia Research and Brighstone School, the celebration of the Island's locally produced Food & Folk Music will include 'taster menus' within tented cafes, serving an interesting variety of freshly cooked local produce.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses on the island.
