Three days of concerts and ceilidhs, plus music & dance workshops, and dancing displays including Morris, Appalachian, Irish, Scottish, Clog, and more held from Friday 10th until Sunday 12th June 2011.

Line-up

The first acts confirmed are The Boot Hill All Stars, Michael McGoldrick & friends, 2Duos, The Shee, Miranda Sykes & Rex Preston, Vin Garbutt, Beoga, Emma Sweeney & Matthew Griffen, Daimh, Colum Sands, Guidewires, Kenny Speirs & Judy Dinning, 4Square, Ewan McLennan, Anna Shannon, Pilgrims Way, Nigel Waite, Iris Bishop Malcolm Bishop, John Alderslade, and Jason Hinchey .

Wimborne Folk Festival was founded in 1980 and has become one of the largest gathering of dance teams and musicians in the South of England.

The event is based on the town centre's streets and attracts thousands of visitors from all over the UK, and from the rest of the world. The festival features both contemporary and traditional music with a mixture of singers and musicians, plus lots of Morris Dancers, ceilidh groups and callers including English Contra Band with John Turner, and Random with Pete Rees.

Tickets

Early bird tickets (until 30/04/11) are priced at £66 (no camping) (full price £72), £74 (inc camping) (full price £80) adult w/e tickets. The Weekend Season ticket entitles the holder to unlimited access to any or all of the Festival Concerts and Ceilidhs. Individual evening or afternoon concert tickets are also available, and are priced from around £10-£20 depending on the event. Child tickets (aged 8-14yrs) are half price. Accompanied children under 8 years get in free. There is a 10% reduction for senior citizens and students on weekend tickets only. All lunchtime concerts and workshops are free. On site

The festival also offers market stalls, and childrens' entertainers offering something to amuse the kids the whole weekend.

Camping

The festival campsite is available for weekend festival ticket holders only. It is about 8 minutes walk from the town centre and there is an extra charge for staying there.
