The 9th annual Riverside Festival is a friendly one-day event held on the first Saturday in July. Taking place by the river Welland, in the Meadows in the centre of the historic town of Stamford, Lincolnshire, the event is free and organised by volunteers.
Headlining the Riverside Stage are Neck, with support from Will& the People, Becks and the Bullets, and more. Headlining the Marquee Stage are Death Valley Piledriver with Don't Look Down, The Ruined, Portman, and more. Headlining the Acoustic Stage are Nuala & The Alchemy Quart.
The day will feature four stages of live music, and a Comedy Evening bill which includes Paul F Taylor, Paul Harry Allen, Steven Young, Sion James, and Stephen Walker. Plus, Stamford's largest beer and cider festival once again featuring a wide variety of real ales and ciders in a 200' long bar, traditional fun fair, children's entertainment as well as opportunities to taste food from across the world and take part in a little retail therapy.
No alcohol is allowed to be taken on site. Any bottles or cans will be confiscated at the gate, as will unsealed plastic bottles. There is plenty of drink available at the bar.
The gates open at 12 noon and the Festival will finish with a firework finale at 10.40pm. The Festival operates on a not-for-profit basis and although admission is free they do ask for a a small donation to help with the costs of staging the event.
