The 8th annual Riverside Festival is a friendly one-day event held on the first Saturday in July. Taking place by the river Welland, close to the historic town of Stamford, Lincolnshire, the event is free and organised by volunteers.

You can expect live music from 34 acts over 3 main stages, The Riverside Stage (local bands and guest artists from across the UK), The Marquee Stage (indie, emo, metal, rock, punk, etc), and The Acoustic Stage (acoustic, folk, jazz, world and blues).

There will also be a Buskers stage for anyone who feels like turning up and having a go. The Stamford beer festival featuring over 20 real ales & ciders will also be there with a 200 foot long bar is split into three themed areas. There will be food outlets and craft and trade stalls, children's entertainment including Rock Star themed arts & crafts workshops, Punch & Judy, Storyteller, Face Painting, Bill Brookmans Circus, Bouncy Castle, fairground rides, and a firework finale.

This year NO alcohol will be allowed to be taken on site. Any bottles or cans will be confiscated at the gate, as will unsealed plastic bottles. There is plenty of drink available at the bar.

100% of the proceeds from each drink sold will go to Charity. 50% will be used by Riverside to pay for the staging of the Festival while the other 50% will go to support the work Bourne Round Table do with local charities.

There will be more information here when it becomes available, or see the official website.
