Manchester International Festival is to hold an International Music Series with exclusive shows and world premiers including Lou Reed performing 'Berlin'. The shows aim to reflect the "landscape of the music scene in Manchester; past present and future".

Sun 1st July: The Fall
Mon 2nd July: Kanye West
Sat 7th July: PJ Harvey
Sun 8th July: BBC Philharmonic perform the world premiere of William Orbit's 'Orchestral Suite'.
Sun 8th July: Happy Mondays & 'special guests'
Wed 11th July: The Cunning Little Vixen and Alphabicycle
Thu 12th July: Ojos De Brujo
Fri 13th July: Bert Jansch with Beth Orton & Bernard Butler
Sat 14th July: The Blue Nile
