Garforth Arts Festival 2006

The Garforth Arts Festival is now in its second year and wil be providing 9 days packed with performances, exhibitions and educational workshops by some of the UK’s leading artists. There is a strong emphasis on community participation with new groups forming especially for Festival Saturday, plus dozens of local schools and arts groups fully involved.

The festival promises a diverse range of music genres and attractions including jazz, comedy, folk, pop, poetry, art exhibitions and more.

Many of the events are FREE, including a festival finale gig featuring folk singer Cara Dillon, jazz trombonist, Dennis Rollins and Chumbawamba on Saturday 8th of July. Also on the same Saturday there will be a street festival featuring The Peace Artistes in Garforth Main Street from 12noon until 5pm.

Other events held over the 9 days include Pedar Long's 'Celestial Echoes' on Saturday 1st of July (tickets £8), and The Snake Davis Band on Monday July 3rd (tickets £10).

There will be more information here when available.
