More acts have been revealed for the 4th edition of indoor multi-venue inner-city festival Hit the North, which takes place on Sunday 3rd May 2020 (a bank holiday weekend) in Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

Newly announced are indie mainstays The Amazons, Brighton punk trio Dream Wife, West London risers Bloxx, cult garage rockers The Wytches, plus Chappaqua Wrestling, Do Nothing, Grace Carter, Spinn, The Mysterines, and The Wha.

Hit The North director Steve Davis said: "It feels great to be back! In a region where continuous cuts are being made to cultural projects, Hit The North is a vital platform for connecting emerging acts with new music fans, and showcases Newcastle's richness as a musical city in terms of its venues and home-grown artists. Hit The North returns in 2020 and we hope the festival will continue to boost the profile of Newcastle and the wider North East region as a vibrant hub for new music".

Previously announced acts include DMA's, Fickle Friends, The Magic Gang, Rhys Lewis, Ryan McMullan, Working Men's Club, Litany, The Lathums, Lauran Hibberd, Marsicans, Twisted Wheel, Roxy Girls, Stereo Honey, Talk Show, Walt Disco, and many more. Stage line-ups, festival venues and more to be revealed in the coming months. For the details as available please see the line-up page.
