Glastonbury Festival organiser Emily Eavis has just been on the phone to Lauren Laverne on BBC 6music, to announce the third officially confirmed act for this year's festival.

Headlining the West Holts stage (day unknown) will be Janelle Monae. She joins the two other confirmed acts, who are Friday's Pyramid Stage headliner Stormzy, and appearing in the tea-time slot on the Pyramid Stage on Sunday, Kylie.

Emily also revealed that Acadia are working on a completely new design with a new show, that the Block 9 area will be expanding, and that The Park will have a new area near where the Teepees were.

The main line-up announcement will be made in April.  For the rumours - not necessarily likely - please see the Glastonbury 2019 line-up and rumours page.

Glastonbury Festival 2019 takes place at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset from Wednesday 26th to Sunday 30th June. Tickets are sold out, although there will be a small resale of tickets in early April.
