Tickets go on sale today, Friday 2nd December, at 9.30am for Sounds Of The City (previously titled Summer in the City) which takes place at Castlefield Bowl, Manchester running on selected nights from Friday 30th June until Saturday 8th July 2017.
Opening the event is Richard Ashcroft headlining on Friday 30th June. On Saturday 1st July Hacienda Classicall will be back at the Bowl with Mike Pickering and Graeme Park collaborating with the Camerata for a night of classic dance music, and this event has already sold out.
Levellers and joint headliners The Waterboys will play at the Bowl on Sunday 2nd July. The show billed as A Beautiful Day Out is a sister event to the Levellers' hugely successful Beautiful Days Festival in Devon, which is going into its 15th year in 2017. Levellers will be performing their classic album ‘Levelling The Land’ in full plus other hits. More special guests for A Beautiful Day Out will be announced soon.
Returning to Manchester on Friday 7th July is James. Closing this year's Sounds Of The City on Saturday 8th July Blossoms plus special guests The Coral, Rory Wynne, and Touts.
