Bestival have announced the line-up for The Port area of the festival to appear alongside "brain-melting spectacles, astonishing aerial displays & insane pyrotechnics" at this year's Desert Island Disco themed 11th edition held at Robin Hill Country Park on the Isle of Wight, are Thursday 4th until Sunday 7th September 2014.

The first acts to appear at the area which features HMS Bestival at it's centre include a Friday line-up of Sven Vath, Damian Lazarus, Boys Noize, Eats Everything, Bella Sarris, South London Ordnance, and host Rob da Bank.

On Saturday Annie Mac Presents Green Velvet, 1-800 Dinosaur (featuring James Blake, Dan Foat, Airhead, and Mr Assister), Route94, Bicep, Richy Ahmed, Krystal Klear, and Monki.

Sunday sees Chase & Status (DJ Set) topping a bill of Ram Records presents with Andy C, Wilkinson, Loadstar (with MCs 2 Shy, Adapt, and MC Jakes), Jaguar Skills, Gorgon City, Dusky, Kaytranada, Ame, and Dense & Pika.

Rob da Bank said, "A massive white ship cast adrift in a field blasting out the finest electronic music on a crystal sound system, a man in a rowing boat rows through thin air dangling from a crane, pyro and confetti fill the air, the ships horn booms across 10,000 people’s heads as they writhe in rhythm and, as night falls, the lasers fire up and the ship appears to float above the grass. Yes, it sounds like an insane area, doesn't it? But last year we created The Port, possibly our coolest stage ever and it’s back with another three days and nights of musical marvels from many of the world’s finest DJs. Roughly speaking, Friday is techno night, Saturday is Miss Annie Mac's massive party night and Sunday starts chilled and ends in junglist bass mayhem. All aboard!"

Loads of more acts and DJs plus magic, mayhem and more is still to be announced. Thursday headliner is Beck, Friday it's Outkast, Saturday is topped by Foals, and Sunday sees Chic featuring Nile Rodgers closing the festival. Also confirmed are Busta Rhymes, Disclosure, Major Lazer, London Grammar, Sam Smith, Wild Beasts, Clean Bandit, Caribou, Chvrches, and Laura Mvula.
