we asked: does Glastonbury know its arse from its elbow?

there'll be one day like this

With Glastonbury Festival over for another year, yesterday we posed the question: Does Glastonbury know its arse from its elbow?

Whether or not Glastonbury knows its arse we don't know. Does it even have an arse? If it does then I guess it could be said that quite a few people have probably tried crawling up it. But perhaps its best to leave this little tangent just here.

The other part of the question is whether it knows its elbow. And seemingly it does, because word reaches us that the Glastonbury Festival House Band - better known as the band fronted by Guy Garvey and going by the name of Elbow - are one of the acts that Michael Eavis & co have lined up to headline Glastonbury Festival 2014.

Elbow have long been an Eavis favourite, performing at the festival a number of times and also attending Emily Eavis' wedding a few years back. And their rise and rise over the last decade and more has them firmly fixed as one of the country's favourite bands, and a particular favourite amongst Glastonbury goers. We're sure they'll go down a storm.

History shows that the acts that the Eavii have lined up this far in advance don't always come to fruition, but in this particular instance we think that's probably unlikely. So expect to see Elbow headline Glastonbury next year!

So that's one down, and two to go. Come back tomorrow when we'll exclusively reveal more about what Michael and Emily have - or at least had - lined-up for 2014.
