Speaking on the morning of the programme launch, promoter Dave Corbet said, "We're delighted to be joining forces with the Edinburgh Comedy Festival this year and are pleased to be in such good company. Music and Comedy have always been great bedfellows and from the feedback we've had previously, people attending the festival like to build an evening of entertainment so what better than to catch a comedy show and attend a gig? We're announcing a great variety of acts so there will be something for everyone - roll on August!"

This year marks the 12th anniversary of a dedicated popular music programme at the Edinburgh Festival, and takes place across various venues from from Thursday 4th until Wednesday 31st August 2011, and will feature over 40 performances over the festival period.

Ticket prices vary from around £8 to £35 depending on event and will go on sale on Saturday 11th June at noon.
