first acts for Cambridge Folk Festival

Bellowhead, Richard Thompson, Kate Rusby, and Laura Marling are amongst the first names confirmed for this year's Cambridge Folk Festival.

Announced to appear on the opening Thursday will Chris Wood, and Muscle Shoals, Alabama's The Secret Sisters.

Friday's line-up includes Newton Faulkner, and Bellowhead.

The first acts confirmed for Saturday are Richard Thompson, Kate Rusby, and former frontman of The Mavericks Raul Malo.

The final day sees Cherry Hinton Hall Grounds, in Cambridge host Laura Marling, and Mary Chapin Carpenter.

This year sees a brand new fourth stage added, run by and for young emerging talent called the Young Performer's Stage, more details will be announced, soon.

The festival takes place from . Tickets are priced at £114 for a full adult festival pass (not including camping), day tickets are priced as follows - Thursday £18, Friday £39; Saturday £50; and Sunday £50. Children aged 5-15 tickets are priced at £33, and children aged 4 and under can attend for free. Camping will be available for full festival ticket holders only, priced at £35-£50 per 2-3 berth tent.
