The latest acts also include trip hop exponents Lamb reformed for their festival appearance, Radio Gnome fans will enjoy a return to the psychedelic airwaves of Gong including original band members Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth, Steve Hillage and Miquette Giraudy, the sonically-charged Spiritualized, the Soma boys Slam, Alphabeat (DJ set), DJ Derek, Ska Cubano, Mr Scruff's Tea Party, Toddla T & MC Serocee, JSTAR & MC Honey Brown, Magistrates, Mitch Benn, Marina And The Diamonds, Tom Middleton, and Zombie Zombie.
There's a huge line-up of new additions including comedy from the likes of Josie Long, and John Shuttleworth's new creation Brian Appleton, literary stars like Stephen Morrison and Alex Jenkins.
The latest names also include Alex Horne, Apples & Snakes, Boy Crisis, Brian Patten, Chinese Man, Craig Campbell, Dan Black, DJ Sandrinho, Dub Syndicate, Gable, Hot Breath Karaoke, Ian Stone, Markus Birdman, The Moody Boyz, Mulatu & The Heliocentrics, and Mungo's Hi Fi Sound System.
Contemporary circus from NoFit State Circus, plus Norman Jay, Optimo, Red Rack'em, Richie Phoe, Rob Deering, Stephen Grant, Subculture Soundsystem, Summer of Dub, The Gist, To Rococo Rot, and English comedian, actor and playwright Trevor Lock.
This new announcement joins the previously confirmed Orbital as headliners, with other acts including Basement Jaxx,Friendly Fires, Norman Jay,Wonky Pop, Ludovico Einaudi, Calexico, Horse Meat Disco, Pharoah Sanders, Favela Chic Soundsystem, Alice Russell, John Hegley, and Summer of Dub.
The Big Chill which happens on Friday 7th until Sunday 9th August at Eastnor Castle in Herefordshire offers both families and ravers a diverse range of music including folk, jazz, African, dub, and unique collaborations; as well as art, films, poetry, cabaret, kids spaces, comedy, and literature.
Big Chill is promising even more fields next year, meaning more campsites, car parks and better facilities too. The new car park layout promises shorter walks from car to campsites.
Tickets are on sale, priced at £129, teen tickets (13 to 17 years old) are priced at £60, and kid (12 and under) are £4. There is also a National Express festival ticket & travel: £155 (only available from National Express). Live-in vehicle tickets are priced at £50 (per vehicle for the weekend), and car park tickets are £7.50 in advance, more on the gate.
