    Unpaid work

Except for the obvious what are other ways you can get unpaid work at Glastonbury festival or does anyone here have any links. Its due to be the week after i finish my Alevels and couldnt get tickets in the og sale but absolutely need to be there somehow. Any advice would be great! Thanks :))
  2. Hi all, I was just wondering how competitive volunteering positions are at the festival? I'm specifically talking about volunteering places with Oxfam, although it would also be nice to know what it's like in general. Is it a matter of first come, first served with registering interest for positions? Just to note, I've never volunteered with Oxfam before (in or out of the festival). If I don't buy tickets and attend, I'll be interested in volunteering for 2020 (I know I'm very early lol). Thanks for the help.
  3. I'm just wondering if anyone knows of any volunteering opportunities that are still going for Glastonbury? I've volunteered at several festivals in the past with Oxfam, but unfortunately I didn't manage to get a place with them this year, so wondered if there's any alternatives that may still have places? I'm aware this is like super SUPER last minute, but I've heard of a few people that have managed to grab a place really late before, so if anyone has any ideas I'd be super appreciative! Thanks in advance!
  4. Hey, Who is interested at volunteering at festivals this Summer? I volunteered with My Cause UK last year and had the best festival experience - I went on my own and was able to make loads of friends whilst saving the money that would have been spent on the ticket! All volunteers also received access to a camping area and a free meal on shift before enjoying the headline acts. To secure the free ticket you have to work just 3 X 8 hour shifts which allows plenty of time to enjoy the festival over the 5 days. In return for your time My Cause UK makes a donation to a charity of your choice, allowing volunteers to make a change for a cause that they are passionate about. Signing up on the My Cause UK website is super easy and just requires a deposit for the cost of the ticket, which you get back at the end of the event.. I would definitely recommend volunteering with My Cause UK to enjoy up to 15 different festivals this Summer!
  5. I'm doing my first Shelter volunteer Glastonbury this year, I've just been accepted! Anyone else volunteering for Avalon Bars solo this year that wants to crew up? Always good to know a few people before you arrive! Cheers
  6. So, I am looking into volunteering at Leeds Festival this year through either the Oxfam tent or through Hotbox events. Was just wondering if anyone had done this before? Is it worth it for the free ticket to the festival, what are the camping facilities like for the staff etc. Thanks, not sure if I will go through with it or not, but working 24 hours in total for a free festival ticket seems worth it.
  7. Hello all, Less than two weeks to go! My friend didn't get a ticket this year and is absolutely gutted, so I'm trying my hardest to find her a way to get in. Does anyone know of any last minuet volunteering/work going? Shes a top gal, hard working and loves the festival
  8. Fancy getting into Noisily festival for free while raising money for your favourite charities at the same time? My Cause UK is offering you the chance to fundraise while having fun at some of the UK’s biggest festivals this summer! My Cause UK recruit volunteers for events including Noisily, Boomtown Fair, Love Saves The Day and Port Eliot. In return for your time at the festival they make a donation to a charity of your choice on your behalf, without it costing you a penny! You also get free entry into the festival and VIP perks such as access to showers, phone charging and as much tea and coffee as you can drink. Roles vary from ticket-checking and wrist-banding to general stewarding. Positions are offered on a first-come-first-served basis so sign up quickly to avoid missing out! If you want to volunteer as a group we can arrange shifts together and even if you’re on your own you’ll be volunteering alongside others raising funds for a cause they believe in.
