Thornbridge still on the list, but they haven't ran the bars for a good few years now.

Carslberg produce the main beers, they use them in their venues so makes business sense, and local to the site so cheaper and greener to transport them there.

    Fair do's cheers.

The Jaipur at BT has probably damaged my memory 🤪

CHEERS TO ONE AND ALL! 🍺

Join us down the local for some fresh pints. We’ve got some great breweries pouring for you this year, including Brooklyn, Hobgoblin, Wainwright, Westons, Shipstones and of course, legendary Burton beer, Bass.

We’ll have a huge range of cask ales and ciders (including Bearded Theory favourite range, Rosie’s Pig ❤️🐷) plus spirit and mixers, award-winning low and alcohol free beers and a selection of gluten-free and vegan ales, beers and ciders across the board!

PLUS, don't forget we've teamed up with Frank Water this year who'll be serving unlimited refills of cold, filtered water and botanical cordials, with each purchase supporting their charity work, ensuring the worlds’ most marginalised communities receive access to clean, safe water, sanitation and hygiene for life.

    See you down The Catton

    Fiddle!

Wainwright and Shipstones looks a downgrade from Thornbridge (for my tastes) but those Belgian additions look very enticing.

Intrigued by the Bodega do Dylan set trailed in the latest news too. Definitely some positive fresh ideas being introduced.  Will be very happy if get chance to see Bodega twice too.

Get your mates to take and set up your tent 🙂

Over the moon with the extra day, and Henge on the bill for it too. Good times.

Yes, cheers. Sure we'll get something sorted.

  4. Can’t say I am thrilled by the extra day being added.
Anxiety about missing out on camping with mates probably means getting a ticket and trying to get the day off work.

Live near enough to pitch up and go home but a bit weird if you can really only leave between 7 and 9pm.

Love Bearded Theory but Thurs to Mon is still plenty in a tent in May.

    ....albeit wrong about Interpol 😄

About right on Interpol, not so sure on "Panic Attack"😁

I felt more positive about the festival overall but an interesting perspective and decent read.

  6. Saw a few bits online about long queues to get off the car parks today. Hope it was sorted.

We got off early but needed a big sleep when we got home!

Great weekend, Sunday highlights for me included Snayx and the excellent three band end to the Pallet stage

  7. Queued about 40 mins to get in as decided to go early and the gate opening was delayed. No bother though.

Excellent first day. Loved Heartworms and glad i stayed on for Queen Bee after Orielles. Big Ed is a fun change. Good that they've put toilets in the Woodland now.

First timer here probably asking a silly question. Can I use my phone to display the QR code for my ticket to get entry? I don't have to print out my ticket do I?

    Thanks

I had an email from Alt Tickets last week that said please download, print or screenshot your tickets before leaving home to save time in the queue.

Got a last minute ticket to this and heading up on my own Friday morning. First time at Bearded Theory, usually go to End Of The Road and Green Man these days after years as a Glastonbury regular.

Quick question: my car is a VW Caddy, very small van. I have no intention of sleeping in it, and will have my tent with me, but the BT site states strictly no vans in the main car park. Anyone who's been before foresee this being a problem?

Also, any tips on best camping areas to head for? Hoping to arrive around 9.30am on Friday, and need to collect guestlist accreditation on my way in, if that affects which areas best to target.

Any other tips and advice gratefully received 🤗

I'd be amazed if the van is a problem. They obviously don't want people sleeping in the car park but i'm sure i've always seen work van/transit vans etc park with no fuss so if its obvious you aren't camping in it i'd expect you'll be fine.

If you are arriving on Friday a steward should be able to let you know best camping spaces. Walton Woods tends to look busy as its the first one people get to and its nearest the arena but none of the camping is far from the arena entrance really.

Have a fantastic time. I have done plenty of Glastonbury as well as EOTR and Green Man and feel very at home at Bearded Theory so hope the same for you.

Yeah i had a go with them, would really like to catch them, clashes are gonna be unreal though. Everytime I look at the line up I see more, i have far too many 'must sees'

Same on the clashes. Finally got tickets at the weekend and now listening to a playlist. It's not helping!

Holy Moly and the Crackers one of a developing list of additional bands i'd like to catch.

  11. Very happy with Alvvays and Bug Club. Billy Bragg, PSB and Go Team are great festival picks too.

Beth Orton and Anna Calvi are a nice surprise.

I get the concerns about direction but there's not many festivals that would have Flogging Molly and Gogol Bordello on and high on the poster.

An Alice in Wonderland book ?

    Gerry Can ?

A map of Washington (FontainesDC ?

Charlatan and the Wheelies video ?

Can't see the hints but if one of them is Chorlton and the Wheelies i'd take a punt at Badly Drawn Boy being more likely, as I think that's where he lives?

Presuming it's not headliner clues that is.

  13. Cracking first lineup announcement for me and has swung me back round to getting tickets.

Viagra Boys, Snapped Ankles, Interpol, Numan, Yard Act, Lovely Eggs, She Drew the Gun and Warmduscher are all great fun live, as are Pigsx7 and Bunnymen on their day.

Quite a few new things to rxplore

    Reckon another headliner to come?

  14. Just home, and had a very enjoyable weekend.

Of the lesser known bands I’d say Umlauts were the biggest hit for me. Also enjoyed Ciel, El Goodo, Keg and Melin Melyn.

Higher up the bill I thought Ezra Furman and Viagra Boys were each outstanding, Arab Strap were as good as i’d hoped for and i’d forgotten how loud and fun TuneYards can be.

  15. Does anyone know what time the orange car park opens or starts to get busy usually? I just can't remember.

We are staying in a pub in Abergavenny tonight as a treat instead of having a longer journey tomorrow, so i suppose I had best get packing. Excited now.

Only been the once back in 2019 and can’t remember noticing one but I’m assuming there’s a separate re-entry queue on the Thursday?

Debating just queuing up with the tent initially to setup camp and then going back to the car straight away for some of the heavier stuff.

Hi, yes we definitely did a few trips on the Thursday last time we went.

Can I just check - I bought my ticket via FanTicks which the seller has forwarded onto me. The bottom of the transaction & customer numbers on the right hand side of the ticket are slightly cut off by the Green Man Banner across the middle of the page. Are all tickets like this?

Just want to make sure the ticket isn't dodgy.

Hi, both are clear on mine. The unique ticket number seems to be the one under the barcodes though so if they are clear hopefully you are ok.
