    for anyone missing that noise

Years ago (10+), someone shared a tune on here called (I think) “The Sound of the Long Drops” which set a recording of the clanging doors to a techno beat. It was absolutely brilliant. Can I find it? Nope.

Wow is it really that long … however my point does stand about the toilets generally wateraid do a really decent job along with the introduction of the composters

They were still at Other stage in 2007. Bloody horrible, especially in all that mud. Think they went completely in 2008/9.

He dreamed of going, would watch it on tv every year and never got to (we were going to do it the year I didn’t get tickets but he passed away before we could go/get them in the resale) so I thought maybe doing a plant or something means in some way he’s always there.

There are plaques on the trees at the old Glade too. Gets emotional reading them x

    Excellent!

In 2017 we were passing back through the Unfair Ground late on Friday night when one of the “carney” girls ushered us over to her fair game. The game was to throw a crushed can into a tiny slot which surprisingly I managed to get it in (in my state). She quickly rummaged through a draw then pulled me over the counter and softly whispered in my ear “here’s your prize, it’s a cast of Michael Eavis’s asshole”

SIR Michael Eavis. Expect to see you on the Antiques Roadshow in 40 years 😂

I always go to the forge , it's in the park run by a really lovely woman, they make key rings that are different every year, you can make your own too, it's brilliant I love mine I've got a couple and they make a really good gift

Yep, I’ve got one of those, but from 2016. They’re fab and she’s really lovely.

  6. Friend got through to booking page on 2 windows, but never went through to payment. We didn’t get a sniff (I have a volunteer ticket so helping today). Holding out now for crew for them, plus my Tony Chocoloney order….

Saw family this weekend and one of the older generation said they'd heard Glastonbury was full of people lobbing piss in the air. I'd rather people pissed themselves than do that but can't say I've found either behaviour to be that common in the last 10 years I've been going.

    They’re confusing Glastonbury with Reading…

@phillyfaddle I don't agree with @tarw about there not being a queue, some people wait for hours on Wednesday morning.

Expect to queue when you and the person who you are the PA for collect their access pack and your ticket from the Accessible Arrivals Marquee in the car park. People start queuing overnight just like any other pedestrian gate so depending on what time you arrive will depend on the wait. Wednesday morning is the busiest time. I recommend taking a chair for the queue and plenty of water and snacks. There are toilets but nothing else. I have experienced both entering the festival via the Accessible Arrivals Marquee and working there. I volunteered as an Oxfam steward, my role was checking tickets there.

Thank you StoneCircle, that’s brilliant advice, appreciated 🙏 Friend said they had to queue about 2 hours in 2022, so was expecting to.

  9. Different this year as I have a volunteer ticket as a friend’s PA in the assisted campsite. First time I’ll be camping on main site since 2012! Got a B&B Tuesday night (near Podimore), then being collected early doors on Wed as we were only allocated 1 car park pass (understandably). Getting mentally prepared to queue again, as my festival ticket will be at the dedicated gate.

Love Yard Act - saw them in Williams Green in 2022 and have listened to them regularly since then.  There is something about his voice that just puts a smile on my face.  And funnily enough I got to Black Pumas in my playlist today and really liked them too.  We must have similar taste so is there anyone else you'd recommend?

Going to see Yard Act in Bristol next Sat. Love their album.

  11. Now I’ve got a volunteer ticket 😊courtesy of a friend (I’m their personal assistant in the disabled campsite), my arrival strategy is different to normal. We are allocated 1 disabled car park pass, so we have to meet along the route (we live at opposite ends of the A303. I’ve booked a BnB for 25 June in a village near Podimore which will allow me to leave my car in their car park until 1 July. Friend will pick me up early doors on 26 June, then we’ll travel in their car to site. So grateful to my friend for inviting me to assist 🙏 Rest of my normal group will be either volunteering or crewing if they don’t get tickets in resale (or win a competition!).

    Nope - Halifax.

I approved the payment in the banking app, and got booking complete screen with the ref no. And an email confirming I was lead booker with four other tickets.

No-one else has received an email and it's just sat "Pending" in the bank Account - with no way to push it through from my end..

You’ll be fine. It’ll clear in the morning when See get around to processing your payment at their end. Had the same with credit card payments in the past being stuck in pending. It’s down to the merchant. You have your confirmation number so all will be well. One year (2010 sales), See contacted me as there’d been an issue with processing my payment. All resolved and I didn’t lose my tickets.

Did people hammer f5 trying to get tickets?

Im still nervous about the phantom holding page if I refresh to quickly.  I got booking page tonight by hammering f5 but didn’t know if the coach sales are handled differently to the main sale

No they’re not. F5 is your best bet.

We're trying from overseas (Ireland) and are aware we will need to use a credit card. Only 2 in the group have a credit card. One of them has just noticed his card is due to expire in February - before the final payment has been made. Will this be an issue or will he be able to update his payment details at a later date does anyone know?

No problem. He’ll just enter in his new card details when paying the balance. Doesn’t need to the the same card the deposit was paid on.

    No Events found here.

And whilst compiling this post, managed to hit this once. Let it refresh, went back to NEF.

    See above.

How the heck did you get to a deposits page?

    It's getting real now!

That link is flicking between the holding page and event not found
