They were always on Day TBC and on each day, efests said they had no idea on which day each headliner would play.
-
I have a feeling it's going to be as expected, if I'm honest. We might be a tad surprised by the undercard but I think there'll be no surprises with the headliners.
-
So it's a revelation that - even if this banner was real (even though it's clearly not), The Strokes, MCR and Muse would be playing?
If somebody is going to create a fake line-up, the best way to do it to cause a massive fuss would be to create a line-up that nobody thought of rather than one that we already pretty much know exists.
-
Rebecca black would never make it to a festival, she can't decide which seat to take in a five seater car with four people in it, all pointing at the one remaining empty seat, imagine the indecision on an empty tour bus / the plane over from the USA

Bloc Party?
-
Just a thought though folks, NME did leak the lineup in '09, they had pictures confirming some of the acts because it led to the rumour that Bloc Party were back, some just thought they were a mix of rumours, but turned out every single band was right on their slideshow so keep an eye out tomorrow, I remember seeing the pictures at about 3pm on the Monday, only cause I remember not being able to concentrate on my GCSE coursework

yer yer w.e
as for the courteeners. i think they could headline R+L, the great thing is about them you no for a fact what your going to get. four lads on stage singing great pop rock songs. i also no for a fact they would put on a great show. dont get me wrong it would be risky, but only as risky as A.F last year most people didn't even no who they were, let alone there tunes. this year we will see muse who are of course a headliner band but are so boring an tyerd its untrue. mcr on the other hand are so terrible i would rather put unsalted meat on my ding dong and lock my self in a room with a fresh water crocodile for half an hour, than watch them.
so on that basis i think the courteeners would be good.
-
Would it be reasonable to suggest that the day splits for Rock en Seine haven't been confirmed because of the R+L announcement? I can't see a festival that wouldn't make those details clear as they were announced, it's no extra effort to arrange them properly as opposed to reverse alphabetical in fact I'd say the latter is more difficult

Don't think FR have the balls to do anything like that any more

Worst as in worst wost was definitely some dude flat out facing downward being taken away on one of them first aid golf trollies with a sick cup in his hand. Or maybs he was just a faggit. It was afterall only midday on the Sunday

To be fair, we all know hands down Leeds crowd is better, Kings of Leon being one example, and the Guns N Roses crowd on Friday at Reading being the other. Leeds does not boo bands. Unless they were meant to be someone else

Paramore was terrible, other than that and Enter Shikari down in NME it seemed okay.

Had no problem in red not far from the distribution van over the fence by the valley. We had 20 or so tents some with ropes tied together, a massive purple gazebo in the middle with two flags made out of green tent in the middle. We made a fire on the saturday night only to be warned for burning pasta, and being told that two more warnings would result in permanent exclusion. We laughed about it and then the gazebo blew away so it wasnt funny anymore Sunday, we saw some CATs with fire extinguishers, but no riots, red emptied out pretty quickly.
Forgot to say, undercover security arrested two guys outside our groups tents. First two skinhead lads got into our circle and couldnt get out. I was going outside my tent for a fag and me and my mate clocked them so hung there for a minute, next thing six more lads got in to. The original two looked for a way around the tents and tied rope, but couldn't do it, next thing one security guy just goes, "right Dale we're gonna pull these". Security whipped out their badges and grabbed the lads, one tried to run away but they caught him, the other dropped a blackberry, sure enough the f**kers weren't wearing wristbands and were escorted away, then me and my mate handed in the phone.
To be honest compared to last year security seemed so much stricter, on the spot wristband checks, fire extinguishers, undercover, etc. Had no problems and wouldn't consider packing up early.

You can do a few more things to, Designate a "Neighbour" to sign for your tickets by registering with Royal Mail. In my case, I missed the delivery because I was in bed, and my tickets have been returned to my local sorting office, I have to wait 24 hours to collect, so tomorrow morning should be good. Depends on who delivers it in your area I suppose, but thats straight from the Royal Mail Delivery Note I woke up to. I also work in a post office, so to an extent, I understand.
-
Just checked my OrderTracker today (as in yesterday 11:30PM), they said my tickets had been dispatched from their offices then. So that means mine should be here tomorrow.
I think it's SeeTickets that are delaying, all my mates who got them off Ticketmaster have them, but the SeeTickets ones seem few and far between. It's a pain, as one of mine needs to go off to an eBay buyer, at original price, because they wouldn't let me change my order. So, because of touts, the good people get punished.

OT: But DJ Ashba, this new band member, anybody think of the legendary song from the 90's, Brimful of Asha???

memories....

Well it's now 10 days to he festival and nobody knows if we have a Friday/Sunday headliner. Bad times.
-
The only thing that makes me think this is real is that it hasn't been removed, or at least an official statement produced to say otherwise. It could cause a lot of hassle for ticket agents in other countries if phonecalls start being made and there is no official announcement either way. A simple statement on the bands homepage or myspace would clear up the confusion. Don't really understand why they are delaying it, if it's as wrong as the guy from the fan forum suggests. If I was managing them, I'd be saving face by putting water on the fire and releasing a statement ASAP, even if I couldn't get the message removed.
-
Well I wasn't going to see them, so I suppose it'll be good news if there's a replacement.
-
Not major news, but Hollie-Jay Bowes (Michaela Mcqueen - Hollyoaks) will be on vocals for RedTrack at Leeds according to:
In fact it's probably bad news.

Hi, I've just sold a ticket on ebay (non profit by the way). The girl who bought it is concerned as anybody should as to my own reliability, but I'm cautious whether to give her my reference number and postcode as I don't know if this is important/confidential etc. Am I right in saying she could change the postage address with my reference number for example?
-
I posted on here a couple of months back that my dad and his mate were going to Leeds, but now my dads mate has pulled out without paying me. My dad's gutted he has no one to go with, and has asked me to try and sell his ticket to. So I have two tickets available, and I am selling them at purchase price.
PM Me or post in here if interested.
-
I would say so, because your reference number is individual to each individual booking. So Mr. X and Mr. Y book the same tickets but they'd have different reference numbers. There may be one or more coach leaving at the same time though, although if you arrive together surely you could just get on a coach together?

I know Toxteth and Caldy very well...
What I was getting at was whether Liverpool/Merseyside still has the stereotypical image in the media as being a hotbed of crime and yobs? I don't think it does.

This lineup has been up for awhile on here now, why no deletion?
