Lol, a lot of fans would put Sculptures as best on that album. Would love to see them take the next album in that direction, genuinely feels like nothing else they’ve done before.

I'm with you. Would love them to go further in this direction.

Does anyone have word on where the bands are possibly going instead? (I don’t mean the gimmicks like Bastille and Mel C I mean the kind of acts one would see at End of the Road like Caroline, Porridge Radio, Yard Act, Sprints.) Whoever booked that stage had great taste and it was a great surprise after the poster drop on who they booked and I’m really bummed if the stage and those acts are just disappearing this year. Like is that booker getting another stage to book?

This. Really hope we don't just lose those acts altogether.

The Amazon pink wax is available again for anyone who's looking.

Thank you. Missed out and ended up ordering one from Amazon Japan as it was the only place that had any left, but this will save me a chunk of cash.

  4. AM - 100% - Favourite band. Literally nowhere in the world I would rather be on that night than watching them on the pyramid.

GNR - 60% - Not a massive fan by any means but I like the classics. Would never pay the £100+ it would cost to see them at their own show so this will probably be my only chance. Will see them if there's not a band I love playing somewhere else, and I'm sure I'll have a good time.

Elton - 90% - Pretty similar to GNR for me, not a huge fan but like the classics. It being his last ever UK show means it would take something pretty special elsewhere to pull me away. Plus my Dad is a big fan.

yeah that’d explain it, big clash spot but often the best time if you’re not fussed with the legend, saw Alvvays in JP with about 10 other people when Lionel was on, I made my choice and am still happy with it

right when’s Self Esteem being announced as headlining

Haha, I was one of those 10 as well!

O I was there for that one too… enjoyed it, perfect little Sunday afternoon set, also was surprised of the sparse crowd, legitimately big act (in certain non Glastonbury demographics it seems)

maybe it’s me out of touch after all 🤔

I arrived for that just as Ezra was finishing so got stuck by the toilets (sunday 🤢) at the entry to the field for 10-15 minutes waiting for everyone to clear out so I could get in for Clairo. Mad how empty it was but she did clash with the legend which is always a death slot.

  7. The thing with Foos is they already did their big career-spanning greatest hits set and there's only been 2 festivals since then. The only difference now would be they'd obviously be without Taylor, who was a massive part of the band. Not saying it can never happen but feels far too soon.

Hey mate don’t think you’ll get toasted think this is actually a really good stab!

It’s obvs a little optimistic (GNR in Legends) and think there’s probably too many acts of the the Pyramid sub/Other Headliner size (Florence, The Prodigy, 1975, QOTSA, Pulp, Paramore, Lizzo, Lil Nas X) but I think it’s probs fairly close to what we’ll get in poster 1 based on what acts are about, save it’s missing a number of acts that are likely to be on West Holts (Loyle Carner).

And there’s a near zero chance of the XX being on the poster (although they might all be on the farm!).

Throw Biffy, LCD & Royal Blood into that group too, plus alt-J headlined Other last time they played although personally I'd be surprised if they were booked at that level this year. Kasabian are difficult to place too nowadays having previously headlined but obviously a lot has happened since then. Also think Florence would be headline or nothing.

Would be an incredibly strong lineup if it happened though!

  9. I can only speak for myself but I’ve been a member of this forum for 13 years, been a gold supporter for a lot of that, and to find myself IP banned due to actions of others is incredibly disappointing. I doubt I’m the only one in this boat.

I don’t have a way to prove i’m not one of these “trolls” but it sounds like you have the data to see I don’t have any other accounts.

    your ip address is banned.

So what, I just can't access efests without a VPN now? Because some other people annoyed you? Surely you'd be better just banning specific accounts.

I would imagine it was an IP you were connected to whilst not on WiFi. Had a few times when I’ve been at work it’s happened, your account isn't banned, just the IP.

Its happening on my laptop when connected to wifi 😕

    Devils advocate.

Before dynamic pricing it was the touts that made the huge profits from gigs where demand outstripped supply. They made large amounts of money just by having the resources to buy up tickets.

With dynamic pricing at least the artists get a chunk of the reward for the demand that they have created.

There is no pretence of them being a working class hero anymore

I know you're just being devils advocate but... at least back then if you were prepared and tried hard enough you had a decent crack at getting them at a lower price.

You are right in a way though, the issue is these events have been underpriced for a long time which is demonstrated by instant sell-outs. The secondary market shows the demand is there for much higher prices, astronomical in some cases. Just means your average fan is gonna be priced out more often and the tickets will go to those with the most money to spend.
