  1. Years not so sure but QOTSA Specials Arcade Fire Slaves Arctics Kasabian The Prod Knife Party ....I could go on mate . I think I would have to have the posters in front of me , they have all melded into one fantastic memory . We have made some special friends in Oropesa and sadly , remarkable and coincidentally should have been there for 10 days as of TODAY !

There are dozens of bands I thought I didn’t like and thoroughly enjoyed at the fest , it’s easy when it’s 3am , with friends and pissed .

i will search the posters , I will pick a year and I will enjoy looking

one of my wife’s favourite stories is that geezer on the  Kebab stall recognises me ! Sad but true !

    see you down the front

The festival brand itself will return in one way or another. Yeah its had a few bad years but its still one of the most popular overseas festivals abroad for Brits (this is an educated guess).

Im sure the town of Benicassim will do all it can in its power to ensure the festival returns.

At least i hope so anyway...

    Here’s hoping

  3. Hello Fibers, with all the regret of our heart we regret to announce the cancellation of #FIB2020 due to the global emergency situation we are experiencing. The first thing for
We are always your health, as well as the well-being of all artists and fibers from around the world who travel to Benicàssim.
We appreciate your loving positive and supportive comments. It's being a complicated moment inside and out of the country, and it's more necessary than ever for music to keep playing.
Very soon we will see each other again, to feel the sand of our Coast of Azahar on the feet, the Mediterranean breeze on the face and hugs of our friends when crossing the entrance of the
festival seconds before taking a photo about that image of FIB that year after year awaits us impatient to welcome us and head to the mythical scenario of "Las Palmas". There are traditions that should not be missed and ours will always continue to beating in our spirit blue as the sea. I love you so much

You can now request the refund of your ticket and products purchased at www.fiberfib.com, filling out the form you will find on the web.
The form will remain open until July 15, 2020. Money return will be made within a maximum of 30 days after you complete this form.
If you have purchased your ticket through Festicket, you can contact them at: https://support.festicket.com/hc/es

Benicàssim's neighbors who purchased their fertilizer physically will be able to request refund in person on June 2, 10 pm to 19 pm at the Municipal Sportivo. You'll need to bring some documents that we detailed you at www.fiberfib.com.

    Long live Benicàssim!
    Long live FIB!

Lack of communication has been ridiculous. Nothing on social media since April 7th. I noticed that bars in places like Ibiza and Benidorm have opened back up again.

Surely they won’t try and push forward with this?

My mate has a bar in Oropesa and the local council won’t allow him to open yet

I’ve decided that in my own head I’m going to pretend the rest off the line up was shit and I’m also desperately trying to convince myself that I wasn’t even excited anyway 😂 they replied to me on insta in March saying more acts in April and I can’t see that happening now so it’s all about kidding ourselves now 🤪

Theres a thread on the Madcool site regarding waiting for the government to cancel it then the festival is not responsible for the return of all monies paid , excuse the spelling but force majore comes into place ( I feel I should have checked the spelling )

10 years in the bounce is some going! Out of interest was last year’s the worst...well least enjoyable out of your 10 trips?

We still had a fantastic time but it was a shadow of its former self , upset the Mrs when we went in on the Thursday and the main arena was roped off ! We still enjoyed it , we had some friends with us  on their first visit and they loved it ! And hopefully we will get the opportunity to go again , maybe next year for my 60th bday . Seen some great bands and had the best of times discovering new ones

Anything gossip on whether they’d postpone it to later on in the year? 9th year in a row for us lot and worried that if this year doesn’t go ahead many of us will probably look elsewhere for next year ☹️

Would have been our 11th ! But had made other plans after last years clusterfuck !

Has he heard anything specific about the likelihood of the festival going ahead?

He’s heard that it “probably” won’t happen this year . Again it’s not official just gossip in the business community in the area

If the flights are still on then I’d imagine the festival will be as well. If they’re allowing international travel then I can’t really see anything stopping the festival from going ahead?
I’d say they’re likely to lift restrictions on social gatherings before allowing international arrivals, certainly from places like the UK that’ll be behind them in terms of controlling the virus.

For know I’m keeping an eye on Mad Cool festival. You’d imagine if that goes ahead then so will Beni.

My mate in Oropesa reckons they are about to relax the lockdown but he has also been told that it will be at least mid June before they reconsider opening bars ! This is more anecdotal than fact but it’s the word on the wild streets of Oropesa !

  10. My mate lives in Oropesa which is 9km from Beni and he tells me the coast is on short term “emergency status” because of issues in land they expect the coast to be  busy with people trying to get away . Beaches are closed and only necessary journeys advisable . It’s early yet and this is initially a short term fix but shit is getting real !

I find it really surprising how Liam has way more hype behind him than Noel who's by all accounts better, he has a better band and sings better, has longer shows etc.

The "only" things Liam has on for him are the attitude and a bit of rasp in the voice :D

But Liam is happy to play Oasis tunes , Noel is not . Liam all the way for me though

Most people don't book up any accommodation or flights until the back end of the year, or start of the year at the earliest, so I think a ticket launch for October combined 1 x decent main headliner (with half a dozen support acts), would get people buying tickets again.  With this years poorer line up, together with there being no confirmation of dates or early birds, then as we all know they've well and truly lost the loyalty for people committing to going without any idea of line up.  For 2020, they have to have at least 3 of the 4 headliners announced by January, plus half of the full line-up (and a decent one at that - much better than 2019), if they want to get back to numbers of 2016/2017/2018.

Already booked summer 2020 and it’s not the FiB !

Think that announcement was for south beach, the top names play the main south beach stage and the bottom play the pool party? Well that’s how I’ve taken it.

That crossed my mind too but trying not to get my hopes up regarding more names for the main stages !
