  1. Myself and some friends are working for a small charity on the recycling crew this year, can anyone recomend the best place to camp in Toms field. We walked the site last weekend, and what we guessed was Toms field looked a bit steep. Its also next to the new farm entrance with all new concrete roads being laid. Cheers and thanks Glastoers :bye:

  2. Seems to me its not just the OP but lots of anti metallica verbage going on in the media, i'm not a fan but think its a simular reaction to J Z in 2008, i'm not a fan either but he nailed it, i say well done G F big acts are big acts. I'm sure they will nail it big time, if you dont want to see them your not stuck for choice at glasto, or just stick your fingers in your ears and sit in your tent!!!

  3. I will be putting my phone in a lockup on wed morning so i can walk about the festival avoiding twats looking down at their phones and not on where they are going :prankster:

  4. TIMMED OUT CHANGING TO PAYMENT PAGE ,THAT SHOULDNT HAPPEN . ANYONE GOT FIBRE OPTIC IN A BIG CITY WANA HELP ,SLOW RURAL BT BROARD BAND JUST DONT CUT IT !!

  5. After an enjoyable Billy Connelly set ending with the welly song, watched the spectacular fire works as the USAF naplamed the 50'000 people going the wrong way up the railway line to the late night area. Then had a bimble through the healing fields where for a tenner you could kick George Osbourne in the bollocks, a realtively busy night in the tent with Kira Knightly and Pipa Middleton. Up at 11am went to the kids field to watch the Hittler Youth slow roasting the Krishners over a camp fire before heading to the pyramid where the green party were having a conference, where you were searched on entry for weapons if none were found you issued a AK47. So not a bad fest so far. :ass:

  6. There has been no mention yet as to if cash transactions wont be possibile, if they are then you have a choice. Then scaning will only be at site entrance, or enclosed areas mainly late night area. inpossible at pryamid with a 280 deg entrance arc several thousand metres around pasive chips have to be scaned an inch or so at most. active chips need a battery and transmitter. I can see an ID chip for entry that could be scaned to bring up photo and name would be quicker and more secure than presant paper ticket checking. As for full active payment and gps tracking Neal is right no benifit to us and a unreasonable infringment of our personal freedom .

  7. they were pretty frosty with each other on the Saturday, but that sermon was the final nail in the coffin.

I'm never his greatest fan but if I'd been faced with her talking drivel all weelend I think I'd have laughed and left before my shift finished as well. I'm convinced he was meant to be doing the Beyonce interview, not Jo Wiley.

  8. The vast number of cans flattened and burried 3-9 inches or so both on the walk ways from the car parks and all over the site. most are now imposible to pick up. simple in dry years unlike tent pegs they are aluminium and wont pick up with the magnetic rake machines. there are only two ways i know and they both take years, either metal dectors and a spade or deep ploughing and rotorvating and field walking behind them. being a dairy farm returning it grass asap would make this difficult. I also wonder how many broken plastic trolley wheels are burried going on the amount of wheeless trolleys i saw. Its a good job they have 2 years to sort this out.

  9. Kinda surprising me how much praise Coldplay's set is getting. I really like Coldplay and enjoyed the set but I think Elbow absolutely blew them out the water tbh

  10. Yes they were and so they should be, gate A was very stringent even with a disabled exta wrist band which is only isued once in the disabled camp field, my only concern is a paper ticket is not up to frenquent five day use in wet conditions. my was in a right state when gate steward had to look at pic in heavey rain and then scan it by the time i got it back it was like wet kitchen roll. having said that glasto is what you make it, and mine was f--king briliant.
