Ive never found it like that but I dont go right at the front much, especially not the headliners.
How did you find werchter?
-
Well a few find the crowd to laid back compared to uk fests, I like that persobally. Not much pushing, barging
-
we should be expecting an announcement in the next couple of weeks now yeah? or longer?
-
said i wouldn't go back. first 3 bands are really tempting me though.
would be going solo though so would need to tag along with some folks haha
-
Would be good to see the new clash finder, cheers for wipping it up
i thought the time was trying to sort out up some sort of meet up for the Wednesday night, maby a Facebook group might not be a bad shout to organize it?
but yeah, i know people aren't going to know exactly where they're going to camp, but they'll probbaly know roughly when they're arriving etc and a few texts easily would allow me to find someone/a group at a place or a tent
haven't actually booked travel yet anyway

Hey guys
Thanks to the legend that is guyfawkes, who very kindly sold me his ticket at face value
Anyway it looks like i'm going to have to go on my Larry, Which actually i'm really looking forward too, I usually end up going with quite a crowd of friends and i quite enjoy a change- and also usually end up sending half the festival hanging around with random strangers anyway
I was wondering however if it was possible if i could camp with someone else from efestivals? I don't want to impose myself on anyone but it would be quite nice; more importantly i know what festivals can be like and i don't really want my stuff in the tent getting robbed, safety in numbers and all that
Anyway i'm a 20year old male student, been to plenty of festivals and done plenty of camping. I have a nice little tent and i'm happy to bring my guitar (although i'm really not that great, maby i shouldn't bring it...)
reply or Pm me
Thanks

Other times have changed too. Jack White seems to clash with less of Temper Trap now and Beirut with less of Deadmau5
Def room to see some of M83 now after Mumford which is good
-
Remember people you need to print of your etrain ticket for your free travel from brussels to leuven. You can do that from today.
-
... has someone notice that there's been a change in the hours...
they've put M83 later and now they clash with Mumford and Sons not with Kasabian as before...
for me this are really good news, but dont know for everybody...
and again... any of you knows nothing about this year line up poster?
-
Only clash for me is Garbage and Blink. Will have to check out a few bands I haven't heard of to fill in the gaps!
-

Ive seen them twice, I agree pretty average but most definitely not the worst Ive seen
Anyone noticed the Chase and Status pic on the front page is actually Calvin Harris?
-
You can get train from mechelen to leuven, and you can also get trains to brussels to mechelen but you might have to change in leuven.
You can get all the info you need on here
dont have a clue about iron bru though...
-
quick question. we've found a really nice and nicely priced place in machelen to hopefully stay on the monday, tuesday and possibly wednesday.
anyone know what the transport links are like for here to brussels and back, and crucially to leuven on the wednesday/thursday?
also, odd question but, does anyone know if irn bru is available to buy in brussels anywhere in cans? was going to be bringing some on the plane but seen on the wiki page that it's available to buy in belgium.
cheers for everyones help so far on this forum. it's great!

will it not cost 25 for the extra night camping at the gate as well? we got xl camping tickets last year but we bought them online before we arrived
-
we've already bought our regular camping ticket, but want to go from the wednesday now. is this possible to upgrade at the gate, as i've looked on the site and it's 25eur each to get the xl camping tickets which obviously isn't worth it just for the extra night.

my must sees. not a bad wee fest ken!
-
gutted!! seen RHCP and the whole gig was pretty much 90% bass solo's! was pretty boring. was hoping for a decent dance act to close it down.
i was one of the people not happy about the B.E.P closing last year, but found myself having a good old boogie to will.i.am's little DJ set! haha! guilty as charged!!!
-
Just a lovely quaint town with great vibe.
Well bought ticket but wasnt.like last and just got reservation code with email. Im sure last yesr got a link to eticket to print of straight away.
This normal this year?
-
well the front page band pics haven't changed so saturday headliner still to come you'd think.
blur, rihanna or foo fighters please.
pretty chuffed with todays announcement. really wanted to see noel gallagher this year, and discovered a couple good new acts thanks to spotify. steve aoki is pretty great, and kitty daisy & lewis are a must see for me.
-
anyone here camped before the festival?
we're looking at staying at de klokkeberg from the monday. it says on the site that no reservation is neccesary, but with a fest on before that weekend as well, anxious that it might be packed.
hopefully someone's stayed there that can give us some tips
-
not quite true, last year it never sold out until the last minute but as a rule sells out around april/may time.
-
kenny dalglish has just taken a massive shit on whatever reputation he has left. wouldn't give him the time of day if i passed him in the street
ROCK WERCHTER 2013
in overseas festivals

was underwhelmed by editors headling last year. can't believe they are again this year. can't be any worse than rhcp for closing the festival though.
decent band, but don't get why they're so huge in belgium. odd.
doesn't change things for me though, still a top set of headliners.
