  3. Just came across this article about the Vodafone Network on site this year.

    TL;DR: here's the juicy stats!

    Quote

Vodafone installed nine masts over Worthy Farm which boosted the temporary network to its highest capacity ever. And thank goodness it did, as 169 terabytes (TB) of data were downloaded throughout the five-day event – the equivalent of downloading a two-hour movie in HD 400 times an hour each day. This is also the most data ever used at Glastonbury and marks a 99 percent increase on the previous year.

    Quote

the busiest stage at Glastonbury Festival 2023 – the Pyramid Stage – the circa 210,000 festivalgoers consumed 20 TB of data. During Elton John’s headline performance, 450 GB of data alone was uploaded. The nearby cell towers had to be uniquely configured so that their antennas could support the massive data transfer in a relatively small area.

Are those U-COOL vehicles just going to wait it out until next year?

Looks like someone moved them Tuesday night - 20:35 they were there - 20:40 they were gone!

Thinking on this further, I reckon it means the sale will be later.

The bit in the screenshot below says you can try for tickets for 2024 after 2nd October. It can take a few days for a photo to be accepted, so to allow time for that it will almost certainly be later. Probably November again.

For 2023 sale, registration closed on Monday 31st October and Coach sale was Thursday 3rd November.

So, I think this is still on for 5th & 7th October sales, rather than November sales.

Also closing date for Edits is 30th September.

any news yet ??? normally the tickets go on sale the same day as the extravaganza which is this Saturday..

It was announced Wednesday before the extravaganza last year - so going by the same pattern (there is no pattern) we should except to see something tomorrow.

When do tickets usually get announced / go on sale ?

They went on sale the same day that the Extravaganza was held last year - So most likely 5th August this year.

Does anyone know if/when the site is open to walk around? I'm heading down that way this weekend and would be cool to have a wander, but I suspect it's too soon for that yet.

Still a building site, so certainly not.

Not a cam shot - I took it from the Ribbon Tower - but do we have any idea about this section, just above the Park? Clearly accommodation, with a large amount of space, their own little compost toilets, in peak position. Who is this?

    Looks like the Tipi Park.
