  1. Here was my old 8 man beast that I used for the last 3 Glastos. After taking it to Bestival it got flooded bad and was a complete wreck by the end. Had to chuck it :( We used to be able to fit about 15 people in the middle bit for predrinks before heading to South East Corner. Missing it loads :( Back to individual tents this year, not the same!15985_10153042931380224_907113260_n.jpg

  2. I'm going with a load of gay friends this year (as I do every year I attend), and one of them will just about shag anything. PM me if you are interested.

Ha! Sounds like what my friends would say about me. Where is he?!

  3. I agree about queues but last year didn't seem bad, although the venue queues were horrendous. I had a moustache and tattoo yet still couldn't queue jump.

  4. Having a look at the map on the app, has anyone else noticed that on the map app, Park Home Ground appears to still be there, be it much smaller than before but on the website map, there's still no mention of it?

  5. Thursday evening in 2011. It was my second year at uni and I had an exam on the Thursday. Heartbreaking. I would have just skipped the exam if I could. In my first year, knowing that it didn't count towards my degree, I skipped an exam to go to Glastonbury. Nothing can get in the way! All other year's I've been in by midday Wednesday

  6. Ha! I never bring my smart phone to festivals, I've been tempted to bring it to use Tinder and Grindr just to see if anyone actually uses these apps at the festival...

Anyone had any dating app experiences at festivals?

  7. there's more to life than what you do in your pants. as we see here plenty have got the idea that it's "the gay bar" or "the place for gays to pick up" and that seems to miss the point

  8. Gay guy here! Thinking it's just NYC Downlow that's explicitly gay but the gays seem to be everywhere. I've pulled so many times at Glasto, mostly but not just at NYC Downlow!

Personally, I love the fact that NYC Downlow is there, it shows everyone is welcome at Glasto and plus I like that I've got somewhere to go to more easily find a drunken snog haha. Also, all are welcome at NYC Downlow, it's not a 'gay only' venue.

Only one time have I had any sort of abuse at Glasto, I was lying outside my tent hungover a few years back wearing my American Apparel 'legalise gay' pants and some idiotic boys shouted something. On shouting back, they ran away. I know on the whole Glastonbury is a tolerant place so this hasn't put me off one bit.

  9. I'm getting the 3am Wednesday coach from London, just to make sure I've got space for our 8 man tent, last year we get there at 10am and it was a struggle finding space for it in Park Home Ground where we usually camp.

All my friends got coach tickets together with their entry tickets so they're coming later in the day, I'll be setting up alone! Fun times. :/
