  1. Just now, FloorFiller said:

i'm sure somebody on here said that Gareth isn't very fond of playing the festival which may have something to do with it, or maybe they're just not currently hyped enough to even enter the booker's radar. wish for it every year though!

I did see that one but then as also mentioned but I've heard similar things from other bands (Arcade Fire etc.) who have played again so fingers crossed! Hopefully they'll get just enough hype off the new album for a slot somewhere.

  2. I've always thought they were shit but I gave the new stuff a chance and actually quite like it. Happy Song is a belter. Always nice to see a few heavier bands at the festival - could see them either somewhere on the Other Stage or John Peel headliners (like Enter Shikari)

  3. They're my favourite band, seeing them for the 12th time tomorrow, can't wait! Would love to see them at Glastonbury, surprised they hadn't been booked after their last few albums. Surely somewhere on William's Green at least?

  4. I loved their headline set but then I'm a massive Gorillaz fan and was just so excited to finally be seeing them. Didn't get the criticism until I went to their O2 gig where they were infinitely better & Damon actually interracted with the crowd.

Really hope they do return so they can make up for the last one, would be amazing to see them on West Holts.

  5. I would LOVE to see Elton headline, would be an amazing sing-a-long to close the Sunday night. Adele or Ellie Goulding subbing would go well imo. (I know Adele could easily headline but I reckon she could work better as a sub)

  6. Still can't get into Radiohead, listened to them loads, seen them live...just can't get it :/

That said though I'd be totally fine with them headlining. Seems long overdue...dream 2016 for me though would be Biffy Clyro/Foals, Taylor Swift/Kendrick Lamar & Elton John.

  7. I wish I could have that hour and a half back of watching that overrated, egotistical bellend thinking he's the greatest rockstar on the planet playing a bland, uninteresting set but enough about Arctic Monkeys in 2013...

I thought Kanye was amazing myself, just behind Pharrell for my favourite set of the weekend. It would've been cool to have a band/special guests etc. but I really enjoyed it just as a proper, stripped down rap show.

  8. I only saw 2 acts there this year (Run The Jewels and FKA Twigs who were both excellent!), wish I could've seen a lot more but clashes & all the millions of other things going on.

  9. Pharrell

    Kanye

FFS (wasn't really fussed about any of the Sunday headliners but liked some of the album and so went along out of curiosity...ended up being on of my favourite sets of the weekend, so much fun!)

    FKA Twigs

    Lionel Ritchie

Honourable mentions to Slaves (didn't think much of the album but they're great live!), Loyle Carner, Kate Tempest & all the other great acts I've forgotten and can't be arsed to look up.

  10. Loved the set from the moment he appeared on stage, was surprised at how many songs I knew as well. He clearly loved every second of it as well which was wonderful to see.

  11. I assume no-one in the world actually likes Bastille apart from their record buying fiend of a mother? Someone tell Emily!

Meh I think they're alright, Pompeii is a banger and Flaws is ok but the rest is pretty much filler. That Rhythm Of The Night fuckery though is just inexcusable.

  12. Like them or not you've really got to feel for the Foos, particularly Dave. Imagine you're about to play Wembley Stadium then headline Glastonbury and you break your leg. Must be devastating feeling you've let so many people down. Hope they come back next year (subbing for Biffy & Foals.)

Also sucks for Royal Blood who were going to support them at Wembley, must've been so excited for that one.
