  1. We used one as well but we also had a shower tent (1 metre square) which packs up really small and has shelves and so on built in. We each took in a bag with a towel, once zipped up in shower tent put our minimal clothes in the bag as well, showered, dried then clothes back on for the few steps back to the tent. We also used it just before we left to get some of the crap from our boots. Got to agree with Craig_G it was a great buy. So refreshing in the morning we got at least 3 showers out of a full tank.

  2. I used mine early morning for twitter, news, catching up on World Cup and sending photos and texts to mates that couldn't make it. During the day for photos, getting some info about various things. It also helped me find my car when it was time to leave.

I had a couple of spare batteries and an external power bank so charging wasn't an issue. Would I take it again? Definitely

  3. if you've got money to spend on hunter wellies and you want something comfortable, get a decent hiking boot!

Wellies are massively shit for walking miles in...

Nothing beats the comfort of a proper fitting boot with good socks.

I love my Salomon walking boots, keep my feet bone dry and have excellent grip and are nice and light. My feet feel just as good and fresh as they did before the festival!

In fact they are the only part of my body that isn't broken!

  4. Discarded plastic water bottles with lids on rip my knitting...

They were littered everywhere are a real hazard they don't compress if you stand on one and in the mud you are likely to go flying hopefully the metal Wateraid bottles will reduce this.

Maybe a 20p deposit on the bottles would help, at T in the Park there is a deposit on plastic beer glasses result is you don't see many lying around. Folk either return them or a few skint lads go around picking them up.

  5. I always carry a Fitbit and took it to Glastonbury this year by the time we were heading home on Monday I was knackered.

My distances for each day were:

    Wed - 11.26

    Thurs - 12.1

    Fri - 9.48

    Sat - 13.65

    Sun - 13.91

    Mon - 7.34

No wonder I was so tired we were camped in family bit behind John Peel and visited Pyramid once, Other stage a couple of times and twice off to West Holts but we also did do a fair bit of just nosing around having a look. Seems the estimates of around 10 miles per day are pretty accurate.

  6. We told the truth I wouldn't be comfortable with the thought my youngest may have to lie to a teacher. Here in Scotland we do not have fines so the worst we can expect is 4 unauthorised absences for the school year which ends Friday 27th June anyway.

Good luck to all those down south.

  7. Just bought one of these, Pefect festy bag, lots of room, and plenty of pockets. Very comfortable...can put it in front of you. not too big for when in the crowd ;-)
