  1. Hmmm..roadieing for my OH...looking to getting back home about 4am (eeek)...then its a toss up about going for a nap or staying up til tickets all sorted.

Last year was at a friend's wedding and had to get up (with hangover) trying to get the hotel wi-fi working (one year I'll have a restful pre-ticket night!!)

  2. OMG - how bad a state could it have been in? We've been there through flash floods and the constant rain/mudbath of 2007 and not really had a dirty car! Just need a lot of bin bags/clean clothes and shoes and strip/change before getting in the car.

Other thing might be to hire with other people!

  3. At the moment trying to blag some freebies (won em last year).

Traffic is busy - but we walked back to Saltaire last year - bit wet but didn't take too long - Shipley is not much further along so either train/bus/walking is doable.

Another vote for Fanny's - good beer, love upstairs! Have been known to curl up on the comfy chairs and almost fall asleep drinking lovely beer.

  4. Ok....I know that it very early to be planning for next year...but we may be able to get some free passes next year (dependent on band bookings) but we'd only be certain of that near to the festival itself...which is when all tickets are likely to have been sold.

So...whats the deal with the ticket insurance - can you cancel at any time and get a refund or is it like travel insurance when you need to have a concrete reason to cancel - eg illness etc?

  5. Eeek...I came back to work to find we had our first cases of swine flu in the workforce and now trying to deal with staff refusing to go back into that particular workplace - the joys of being in HR and the HR Flu lead.

Me - I'm exhausted and my hay fever is kicking in big style (think its hay fever!!!)

  6. OMG - better presenters and more traffic reports on the Wednesday! Don't know the names but there was one guy (who was on with a scouse girl) and he could barely string a sentence together....plus had the tone of a half dead tortoise! I swear if I'd not been so excited I'd have contemplated topping myself.

Ended up giving up and going back to the mp3 mixes the OH had prepared

  7. We've currently got about 10 people who purchased tickets via .co.uk prior to this 'split' and so are unsure who has our booking details/money etc and there are about another 6 ready to buy tickets. As far as I'm concerned until I receive notification via either the email or correspondence address from which I purchased the tickets from then I will be advising my friends not to touch this festival with a bargepole. I've posted on their forum but just have token platitudes that 'everything is ok' and this site is totally legit...which still doesnt tell me who has my money and whether I'll receive a ticket!

In comparison with G/Leeds/Latitude I appreciate it's small potatoes....but I'm feeling a bit mushroomish (and not in a good way). With the number of small fessies that are likely to be hit this year I'm not having a good feeling about Glastonbudget .

  8. gawd,,,,maybe its just me...but some people will believe anything! All I want is for someone to contact me from whomever I've bought tickets from...to tell me which date is valid. On glastonbudget.net I'm having muppets tell me to trust in some messageboard response.

My partner and ! suggested glastonbudget as an alternative for our mates a couple of years ago - in response mainly to us not getting tickets for Glastonbury (we later won them...woohoo) and as such feel somewhat responsible for our group. Is it too much for glastonbudget.net to prove they have our details and contact us via those to tell us our tickets are safe?????

    Sigh...roll on festival season....
