  1. Well they released the FUL LINE UP over on the new TOS site, but then it crashed. We all managed to see it, but had to sign an internet agreement form to promise not to share it with anyone..... so sorry about that.
  2. That's a very un-Glastonbury thing for them to be doing. I suspect that it's the doings of the peeps who've done the website and Glastonbury aren't aware of it. I'll be bring it to their attention.
  3. I'm sure you've thought of all of this, but my plans for saving money this month so I can spend it at Glastonbury are:

    • don't buy lunches during the working week, take some cans of soup or make at home

    • don't buy any booze

    • have Friday nights at home watching TV, dull but cheap

    • no new music, listen to spotify instead

    • no Costa Coffee or similar

as an incentive I'm going to have a little money pot which I put in all the money I've saved ie no £4 on lunch so in the pot it goes.

  4. well said! our tent will be eight years old this year - it's got a few rips, it's now faded to blue rather than the bright purple it once was and someone drew on it but it keeps the rain out and it's definitely got lots of happy memories for me!

  5. ah yes, and we're looking at about 30mins from campsite to avebury I guess. I will book it to ensure we arrive at 7pm,

Paul mentioned earlier that he was planning to arrive at 4pm, and therefore thats the time I was going to aim for.

Is everyone else arriving about that time?

We want to make sure everyone arrives at about the same time so that we have enough time to sort out food before we have to get the taxi.

  6. good plan Lucy, and well volunteered! :D

I reckon easiest thing would be for us all to arrive on the saturday afternoon, and then get a shopping trip done then. I'm gonna book the taxi to avebury for 7pm by the way, just havent done it yet.

  7. Ok, silly question...what are the plans for food with the gathering?

We had an idea that if you's lot wanted (and as long as at least 2 portable gas cookers were brought along, a couple of big pots and a fry pan came along in someone's cars), I would put myself forward as camp cook.

  8. If I deffo move to Exeter sometime in the next week, I'll be heading to Pewsey station (as directed by the campsite's website). Is that en route? Website mentions a bus so that's what I am currently planning on using but if there's a lift going past, I will gladly take up space in a car!
  9. Sorry we're not heading to Old Oaks (have to pop home for a couple of days to feed cats, hens etc)

...otherwise we'd be more than happy to carry people or luggage

We'll be heading from Newbury to the campsite on Saturday - along the A4. Can we pick anyone on route?

  10. 12 miles must have felt like a very long way in that sunshine on Sunday - hats off to all of you who did it.

Do any of you have a link to a sponsorship site?

    And thanks for the photos!!

edit p.s. LOVE the sinks sat all shiny and ready to go!

  11. Until the weekend just gone I'd forgotten that I'd told some friends who haven't been since 2005 about the new monorail. I've been to Worthy Farm and was showing them some photos of the empty site when one of them asked "do you have any of the monorail, I think I might use it if it's there this year"... I nearly choked on my gin!!

    edited: because I can't spell

  12. Have you tried contacting some of the smaller stages direct? I'm sure you have, but just in case...

Croissant Neuf, Small World Stage, Tiny Tea Tent and the Bimble Inn all have a presence on Facebook so you may be able to send them info about your band and see if they have a slot

    Facbook links here...

    Good luck!

  13. Well, thanks to the inspiration on here I went for a lovely 3 hour walk yesterday (have no idea what that is in miles)... best of all I really enjoyed it so hopefully it'll be the health kick I needed

  14. Hello! Been trying to find out what's the approximate time plan for events at the Solstice... it is more of an organic event than something planned so it's a little hard to tell... BUT generally speaking thoughts are that the Kings Drummers will be there around 7pm and we certainly want to be there for that!

As for heading our weary way back to the campsite I think the sunrise ceremony will all be over about 5:30am. Certainly last year most people were making their way back home and to tents about that time.

Hombe I've sent you a pm on what that could mean re: arranging the taxi. Let me know if you need any help!

ALSO check out www.aveburycircular.co.uk! I'm plugging it shamelessly because my friend created it :unsure:;) ... but it does have good info on Solstice times and up and coming events there

  15. OK I'm depressed

I was just thinking this morning that I better get some "training" in for Glastonbury, so that I can walk all day and dance all night. So, when I saw the title of this post I thought great!

But you're obviously all so very fit anyway!! I do nothing and was hoping there would be other hopeless people on here too ;)

I shall just have to hold you all up as shinning examples... now where was my gym membership card
