Boo's just at the age (3) when she's really starting to understand it all. So excited about christmas this year (even though we're at the outlaws for it. We decorated our tree yesterday and she's hung so much tinsel on it you can't actually see any needles any more

Really enjoyed them. Good call. Thanks man
Excellent, glad you liked them mate.
Loved the Lanegan set last night, and Hanging Tree was a nice unexpected treat
-
that's awesome. That's the kind of christmas cheer I'll be looking for this year
Worth getting there to see one of the support acts too - The Creature with the Atom Brain. Very much a stoner rock vibe in the vein of Kyuss and early QOTSA.
-
Seeing him tomorrow too, can't wait. Going to be the 3rd time i've seen him this year. Apparently at the gigs you can get a cd of Lanegan singing Christmas carols
-
Listening to him yesterday in the car, couldn't help feeling that Raphael Saadiq would be great on West Holts.

The Wailers on the main stage in 2000

Well after it went so well this year, I'm organising another music night next year to remember and celebrate my friend Joe and his love of music. I'll be pimping this lots more over the coming months, but if you live anywhere near St Albans then please come along for a cracking night of live music.
-
I'll say again Zun Zun Egui would be brilliant for West Holts
-
Welcome back Jack WIlshere, hopefully not too long till we field a midfield of Arteta/Wilshere/Carzorla
-
I thought Bon Iver had gone on hiatus.
-
There's no way she'd headline Other. She played mid afternoon on West Holts last time.

When ever we go to Manchester we always go in the Rising Sun for no other reason than it's a nice little boozer. It's hard trying to find proper boozers in city centres these days. Wetherspoons serve their purpose but they get a bit dull....

Zun Zun Egui - saw them at Latitude and End of the Road and thought they'd be perfect for late on in the evening at West Holts

Cell 211 is a cracking film. Brutally violent, but it didn't feel gratuitous, and a some superb performances.

It appears Ronaldo was just a back-up in case the David Bentley deal fell through!

Yes.
Fergie: "He turned down various offers to come here. The boy was desperate to play for Manchester United."
Best front two in world football at the moment.
Have to say though, I do feel a little sorry for Arsenal and particularly Wenger. I've no issue with Arsenal. A great club who try do things the right way, entertain and play good football. But this stadium is taking so much from the team. Wenger now saying Song is probably off too.

What's the story with Song Steve? Know there's the stories of Wenger wanting a more disciplined player for defence, but thought overall Song had been progressing pretty well as an decent all-round CM.
Considering he's supposedly got 3 years on his contract (I'd initially read it was 2 so thought there was the possibilitiy of him doing a cesc/rvp next year), would seem a strange move if let him go for as low as the £15m thats being rumoured; unless adamant wants to leave for Barca, or somethings gone on behind the scenes that Wenger's deemed that he might not be loyal, so would rather push him now than invest time/money into him for him to run his contract low like the others. Initially thought it might be contract tactics but fair amount of smoke now.
Looking forward to Cazorla in the prem; as long as he settles, then should be a star. Giroud obviously will need to hit the ground running a fair bit and will be interesting how Podolski does (I'm slightly cautious about that one myself but might work out alright), but as it stands think you should be fine for top 4 again. Think title challenge would be tough this year. purely from treading water again, step forward and a step back. 2014 the changer and what I guess the board are waiting for, where should hope to get a bit more parity regards sponsorship....as long as Jenkinson isn't your most marketable player left. /index.php?&app=forums&module=extras§ion=legends#">
Looking forward to Wilshere making a return too, just hope the injury hasn't set him back too much or inhibits him in the future.

You spent 40 million so far this tranfer season... You want more?:-)
-
Really sad to see RVP go, but such is at my club these days. IF we now spend the money on a replacement it's actually a pretty good piece of business given his age and injury record, but i woun't be at all surprised to see nobody else coming in. Really hope i'm proved wrong.
The most annoying bit is the "i'll always be a gunner at heart" crap he was spouting in his statement a couple of months ago. Us fans are all pretty gullible, but we're not that stupid.

5 bands that shaped your music listening life

Thought about this on the way home
Bob Marley - My dad stayed at home to look after me as a kid and he used to stick on Bob Marley and put my crib on the speaker to rock me to sleep
Screaming Trees - First heard them at a friends house. Went and bought Dust the next day. From that and specifically through Mark Lanegan led me to QOTSA and then Kyuss. Lanegan is a god.
Therapy? - I heard Screamager for the first time when I was 15 and on holiday in Holland. Nothing had ever grabbed me like that before, and single handedly got me into rock music. My favourite ever band. Troublegum is the reason I learnt guitar (well learnt is pushing it) and got into a band
Radiohead - My friend Joe's favoutire band. Loved them already, but now Joe's gone they help me remember him.
Bruce Springsteen - My Dad's favourite artist. Been listening to him for a long as I can remember.
So many others 2 but the above will do for now
