  1. Loved it, perfectly set up to be able to enjoy as a family and as grown-ups. I really like the feel of the place, like a tiny chilled piece of Glastonbury. My only real gripe is the lack of any West Indian food - a festival without goat curry feels wrong

If you want to make some money there though I'd definitely suggest setting up a food stall catering more for kids. Small portions of simple child friendly dishes would seem like a way to make some real cash there.

  2. We took a good few with us this year for me and my mates. Made the effort to clear up every time - it's not that hard with bins never far away. Can see why the noise at the stone circle would piss people off though.

  3. Very happy about the lineup. Chic, Elvis Costello and Rolling Stones should be awesome sing and dacne along sets and are 3 to knock off the bucket list. Loads of stuff on the undercard I'd like to watch, and in Zun Zun Egui they've added my favourite festival discovery of last year. Check them out on West Holts, an awesomely fun live band

  4. Got through 6 episodes last night and it's as brilliant as ever. Barely seen Gob and Buster so far, which means it can only get better. The standard of the writing and how it all interlinks is just outstanding, can't wait to start rewatching to see just how many forward and back referencing gags i've missed. Never misunderestimate AD!

  5. Thought this deserved a thread of its own. I've tried not to build up my expectations but I'm stupidly excited about the new episodes coming out on Sunday.

It's not a trick Michael, it's an issulsion. Tricks are something that whores do for money. Or Coke.

  6. When Arsenal decided to go for building the new stadium, it was always going to come with a dip in performance. They signed up to long term sponsorship deals, that came with significant payments up front, to ensure that they had the money to build it. It was a long term view in what is a very short term industry now, and I hope that it'll prove the right decision. What they couldn't have forseen when they decided to go for the stadium was the effect that the cash spent at Chelsea and Man City would have. We're now finally in a position to start spending again now though. Our new shirt sponsor and kit deals are bringing in an extra £50m a year to the club. We're undoubtably a long long way behind city, chelsea and ManU in terms of both first team and squad, but we should have the ability to grow again now.

The big question is will we spend? There are no excuses to hide behind for either Wenger or the board now. Another summer off messing around penny pinching and something will have to give. If they have to pay more for players than they want to get them in early then so be it, we can't wait till then end of august as we have the last few years. It's a huge next few months for the club

  7. Saw him last night and he was outstanding, reall is a shame that he's not on the bill. His voice is just something else. Someone in the crowd asked him if he'd got his laptop back - he laughed and said he's expecting to see lots of pictures of his nob appearing on the internet any day now.

  8. Going to see him at Cambridge on Saturday, absolutely can't wait. The new album has taken a few listens to really get into, but that voice and his lyrics just win you over. I saw him at End of The Road last year and he played GMF. As none of us new what was coming, the sight of 100's of middle class parents suddenly trying to block their kids ears once the chorus kicked in (me included) was a joy to behold.

  9. Some excellent choices on here. A few of my full album faves

    Therapy? - Troublegum

Brighteyes - Wide awake it's morning

    Mark Lanegan - Bubblegum

    Bob Marley - Exodus

    QOTSA - Rated R

ELbow - Leaders of the free world

Jimmy Eat World - Bleed American

John Grant - Queen of Denmark (still hoping he'll make this years line-up)

  10. Ahh but the true Steve-o-scenti would have seen him on the.... John Peel? One of those ones up by the Campervan exit anyway, in about 2007 I think, on the Thursday. First appearance at Glastonbury I believe. Good crowd up for it, weird stage setup in that he was in the middle of the tent as I recall. Just him and his box.

  11. Nearly all players come out with the "money isnt important to me" line, as football fans its one of those statements we just ignore and assume to be false. If a player comes out and says money is one of the priorities then they would get slated by the media, its a no win situation. RVP is one of the best strikers in world football and that dictates he should be paid accordingly. Unfortunately in a year when Real and Barca werent looking to recruit, that probably only left man u, man c and chelsea as teams that could offer a top league, potential to win trophies and the appropriate salary.

  12. I wouldnt say rvp screwed arsenal, it was completely different to Campbell screwing spurs. I thought it was one of those deals where .both teams benefited. I thought rvp treated arsenal with respect (unlike nasri) and deserved respect back. Have heard some arsenal fans saying they would have challenged for the title if they had kept rvp, I find this difficult to believe.
