I think they pulled it off with the setup this year, sometimes good things do come in small packages!
I was never stuck for an act to see at any point, the smaller arenas made them look much more packed creating a great atmosphere. And a massive highlight for me proving all the doubters wrong was the Afterburner.......I thought it was absolutely banging........Oooh and also waking up cuddling a dominos pizza

Personally I thought he was pretty damn good, one of my highlights
Someone posted on here that Jim King said Fatboy requested that slot, but I did notice that he was on much longer than stated in the timetable.
-
Might actually be alright if you wait and see what its actually like live and in person
-
I really like it, be a great song for the summer! Can't wait to see it live
-
Yeh you can camp in normal camping with VIP. I did it a few years ago, just walked straight through the VIP campsite and through to the normal campsite and pitched my tent

I only realised because I seen him at the Subby a few years back and he was really good, so stood out in the announcement lol

Was Carl Craig not announced a while ago?

Sounds like the happy bus might be a good choice then after all. I get home from Ibiza the night before so it saves a lot off hassle as well
-
Ok, it has to be said... T in the Park is sh*tting all over Rockness this year.
-
i was wondering if anyone could recommend a good company in Central Scotland that can provide a minibus with driver to take a group of us to Rockness & pick up on the Monday, 12 - 18 seater? Leaving from Cumbernauld
I had a look at the Happy Bus option but noticed they have a luggage limit (including only 1 case of beer). No good for me really as I have a massive coolbox that will be full of drink.
The train then shuttle bus would be another option but I have a suspicion that it might be more costly
If anyone has any advice or other recommendations I would be grateful.
I've always driven before but want to party right till the point I leave the campsite this year

Well in that case Alex, I think you must be smoking crack! ( Compare it to line-ups in previous years )
The 2nd announcement made last week was also garbage. I enjoyed Fatboy last time round - but again? Madeon - again? Above & Beyond - TRANCE!??! ( Expect a higher ned count due to this shocking booking ).

Seriously, another thread on two bedroom DJ's from Inverness? You speak of them like they are making an SHM one last tour esque reunion!? Sorry, but just really don't think they're worth all this posting..

Must say, I'm pretty chuffed with more or less every act in todays announcement . Didn't expect it to be as good as that, excited to see what other acts get thrown in there in the coming months now
-
Basement jaxx headlined in 2009 and were pretty good, don't see a problem with them tbh. I agree on example but I'm sure someone worth seeing will headline the tent.......I can't wait

Deary me Craig, you do love a good moan on here

They only secured the site at the end of last year so I'd say selling tickets and announcing dates straight after last years festival would have been very irrisponsible so that kinda puts that idea to bed
-
I think he just said next week, last weeks announcement was just kinda sprung on us last minute. It was also announced through twitter, facebook and the website so I would maybe expect the same
-
Who said there was announcement next week?

Well looks like I'll need to wait till 2014 for Bestival, I panned the idea about on my Facebook........then got reminded that I have a wedding that weekend
-
£5 a week payment plan is pretty decent, It would be ideal if all festivals could impliment this.
The ferry is pretty fair priced as well. Getting the train wouldn't bother me tbh, I would just sleep all the way home.
Cheers for the info

Does Bestival Usually sell out? And roughly how much do you recon travel would cost from Central Scotland??
I'm steering clear of TITP this year and this could be another option, the timong also gives me extra time to save some cash after going on holiday.

Would like to see Dada Life appear. Were good at the Arches last year and created an incredibl atmosphere.
It's also a good excuse to dress up as a banana

Next week at some point
Glasgow Summer Sessions
in other UK festivals

Bought a ticket for Saturday, should be a good day out. Main reason I bought a ticket though wasn't for Avicii, Tinie and definitely not for GBX..........Personally I think Steve Aoki will hand all there arses to them on a plate!
