  1. i can't remember it being alll that hot last year?? maybe at night when we had to have the windows open and were kept awake by the trains! no air conditioning in hungarian apartments it seems!!

so, better get cracking and get organised soon or we'll not get there this year! can't miss it, it's just too good to miss!!

  2. hiya i am looking to go to the festival next year and it wil be my first time of going so im just finding out some more information before i finally book up .

There will 6 going to the festival from around the 13th till the 20th. I am looking for a two bedroom apartment, the best i have found is an apartment which is in marina dor complex second line for 800 euros. I have heard you cant walk to the festival from here so whats the local transport like?

    thanks

  3. I went to my first Sziget this year and totally loved every minute of it :P . What a fantastic vibe! Everyone was really friendly, the weather was fab, instant ticket/wristband exchange, low-key security, great venue, cheap everything, proper toilets, excellent public transport and only 5 minutes walk from the island to the train station. The main stage finishes at 11pm (the line up wasn’t that inspiring this year but who cares) and the Mastercard Party Arena start at 10pm. Bring it on! Danced my ass off for days :P . Will defo be back next year. Who needs beaches :)

  4. Any sniff of a rumour as to when it's going to be next year??

I've been having a trawl about but can't find anything yet.

We had such an amazing time this year we're def going again next time, and will probably bring a few more along with us.

  5. I'm not going to argue, our hotel room last year was sheer bliss, far better than camping the year before, and it wasn't even *that* full of idiots then.

Not sure whether or not we're going to this one, it's all got so expencive (just got quoted 2500 euros for a one bedroom appartment) and I imagine the reading-by-the-sea syndrome will be even worse this year. Need a replacement though, preferably a hot and sunny beach holiday with plenty of tapas and paella, and a music festival to keep me busy at night :(

  6. The BBC hasn't been updated since yesterday (Monday) morning, which given the ultra fast changing prospects currently, in more up to date forecats, counts as antediluvian. It will only be updated again NEXT Monday. So in effect, tis probably near to useless.
  7. anyway, back to the weather.... :(

    from the beeb website:

    Monday 18th to Sunday 24th June 2007

    “Warming up in the east”

After a spell of cooler weather in eastern coastal areas, winds will arrive from the west or southwest so the highest temperatures will be in the sheltered east. Areas of low pressure are expected over the north of Scotland at times bringing some rain or showers.

On the whole, southern parts of Britain will stay drier. However, many parts of the UK can expect to see at least some rain at times with the greatest amounts across Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern England. Sunshine amounts are expected to be near average.

so it might rain, but then again it might not :(
