  1. Hey Managed to succeed in purchasing coach tickets from Swindon for Glasto next year, however, while I as the lead booker have received the e-mail confirmation, no one else in my six man group has received confirmation as of yet. Should I be concerned? Also out of interest does anyone know where the coaches from Swindon leave from? Cheers!
  2. Thanks! Regarding the noise, does the robot band play all through the night or is quiet after 1-2 AM/start after 10AM, which is likely when we will get back to the tents/wakeup.
  3. Just got our tipi village tent for the first time. Very exciting! Would you please be able to provide any tips for the tipi village. Some of us are coming by coach and some by car, is there a shuttle from the coach point? Or is there a better gate to come through if coming by car? How much space do you get in the tipi? Worth arriving early at all for better spot? Anything else I should know? Thanks so much in advance!
  4. Thanks all for the advice, although now going to have to pray my trolley holds up based on feedback. Going back and forth with friends regarding the best time to arrive by train, they want to arrive around 10AM to get a better spot but I'm in favour of around 3PM to miss the worst of the queues for the shuttlebus and getting into the festival. I have a feeling that even if you get there at 10AM, with all the queues, you wont be getting into the festival until 2PM and therefore most of the good camping spots will be gone anyway, so you might as well leave later to spare the waiting around. Would be good to know peoples thoughts here?
  5. Sadly all the early morning coaches are booked up but defo one to thinka bout in the future
  6. Thanks for the advice - Do you think I would be able to bring one of those collapsable trolleys on the shuttle bus from Bath and West? Its this one if it helps - https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/all-terrain-transport-cart/_/R-p-329960
  7. Thanks for the advice! Slightly worried about working out which roads will be outside of the blocked area, as not local to the area and its my first festival so haven't really got a clue. Is there a map of what's usually in the blocked area or does it change year to year?
  8. Its only going to cost £30 per person more to get taxi back, which to me seems worth it having read some peoples stories. Can't be dealing with hours of waiting on a hangover.
  9. Hey all! First Glastonbury this year and trying to work out best entrance and exit strategy for London travel. Having explored the different option it seems train to Castle Cary for arrival should be fine but taking the train back is particularly painful. So am currently exploring taking a minicab with a group of mates back to London. Had a few questions: Apparently train to Glastonbury can still be slightly painful even on arrival on Wednesday. If I'm arriving in the afternoon (around 3pm), will I still be affected? Anyone taken a minicab back from Glastonbury, apparently will need to take a shuttle from festival to Bath and West Showground to get picked up. Was thinking of being picked up around Monday on 2AM. All good with this approach? Thanks in advance for any help!
