  1. Anyone had any luck yet with Oxfam spots popping up?

Still checking back every few hours for my mate (she has no idea how much work this is requiring haha) but not seen any pop up last year

I remember checking last year for other mates and had definitely seen spots by this point

Yeah, kinda. Although QOTSA into AM makes even more sense. To me, at least.

you'll come to learn that glasto does not pick subs that seem to make the most sense

for example - Lizzo into GnR - logic would put her under Elton

think it's probably to do with crowd management and not having people camp out in the one place all day

    That's quite a significant thing.

He's either worthy of a stage being named after him or isn't, and the amount of press attention his bad deeds had shouldn't play a part in that determination.

I personally think the whole area needs a rejig on the lines of the Park area.

Call the whole area "the woods". Have the big tent still, link in more coherently with the forest next door, a couple of smaller stages, the bar and tea tent.

Make a nice entrance sign at the top of lower mead and also at Michael's Mead.

    decent idea

honestly dont think the woods up there are utilised enough

We don't know they're officially headlining 2023 until the festival announce it.

no, but we 100% know they're playing, whch was the original question

No cash support and no guaranteed ticket... and they only AIM to cover the cost of all materials and expenses... So there's a chance you could actually end up out of pocket and essentially just gifting your work to Shangri-la?

Fuck that man. Like I get Glastonbury is the culmination of many artists pulling together to deliver something phenomenal, and that budgets are tight across the entire festival... but yikes. Artists should at least get some fair compensation for their work if they don't even get to see their work in situ.

Pretty common tbh, none of the festivals I've designed and built for have paid for the work, they cover the costs of materials and you have to budget tightly at that

They have all guaranteed tickets however, which I think it the particular sticking point here

  6. Feels very tight that tickets aren't guaranteed as part of a successful submission... I've designed and built installations are multiple festivals now and tickest are always part of the package... Very unrewarding if you were to design and build something and then not get to see people expeiernce it in the environment it was designed for....

But Glasto Sunday is the 25th right - no other back to back dates on that list, always a day off in between. There's definitely a hole, but it's on the 26th, not the 25th.

Easier for the Legend as it's a small slot and won't need full production but I'm not convinced it's a smoking gun. It looks more like there's a date on the 26th that hasn't be announced/confirmed yet.

Look at his actual website and his tour dates there. He does loads of US cities back to back, which are much much further apart than Plymouth to Glasto

Can't believe I've wanted to go to Glastonbury for about 15 years, then I can finally afford to go and it's the year that I'm actively embarrassed to tell people who's headlining.

    Serious banter by the Evaii

Do this make him less likely for legend slot due to consecutive days?

He does lots of consectutive dates in different cities on his tour, in US cities too, much bigger distances than Plymouth to Glasto

Like a couple of other posters on here, I also heard Harry was doing Glastonbury this year. With the rumours of AM and GNR, I’m now thinking it’s actually 2024?

Kinda weird though that there’s been a few murmurs of him this year and to actually mention it at the Brits (albeit as a rumour)

    Any info on your source?
