  1. I'm in a trailer tent, so kind of relevant to this thread 😂

Ours has a nice built in double burner gas kitchen

Got a big coolbox (Igloo) were going to prep before, to keep everything nice and cool. Going to prep some food that can be warmed up, for when we're not in the festival - Tuesday and mornings.

As it's got 2 double beds, we use one for sleeping and the other one is for clothes and stuff. The previous owner does have a foldable wardrobe too, unsure if this will be needed though.

Have a Jackery 240 for power, along with a solar panel.

Love my trailer tent, packs up nice and small, easy to tow and is nice and big when pitched!

I live 5 minutes walk away from the old American Adventure, that's where it started really. I would do 3 paper rounds and spend every Saturday and Sunday in there as a teenager, using the money I earned. This also puts me a handy short drive from Alton Towers. When I left school I went on to work at Alton Towers for a couple of seasons. Then sadly American Adventure closed down, so Towers also became my closest park.

Favourite park is a split. My favourite 'theme park' (as in a park with more than just loads of rides, one with a real effort put into theming and creating an immersive environment,) is Phantasialand, in Germany. My favourite 'amusement park' (as in a park where the hardware is the main star of the show, and less attention is paid to theming and immersion,) is Energylandia in Poland, which also happens to be the home of my favourite coaster, Zadra.

The park highest on my bucket list is Cedar Point in Ohio. I go to America for the first time in September, but naturally we're starting with Florida. Whilst Florida may be considered one of the biggest theme park destinations in the world, Cedar Point is rollercoaster Mecca for any enthusiast.

    I remember American Adventure!!

No one else i speak to remembers it 😂😂

Went there plenty of times as a child as wasn't far from it.

Suspect I’m waiting for something similar coming through. Did they take payment? I’ve emailed them as I didn’t get a confirmation email with reservation number but payment was taken.

That's a good point actually, I didn't get a confirmation email from them, just my PayPal receipt.

Has anyone else had a confirmation email yet?

Pay day this past week so tonight I ordered a new 85L Rucksack, a camping seat, camping mat (foot pump), head torch, ear plugs, biodegradable wipes, new welly socks, paper soap and some travel johns.

I was going to ask about soap.

I can't find any mini bottles of hand soap for after the toilets, with a lid that closes (or it'll end up leaking in my bag) Are these paper ones any good?  Any links?

  5. ☹️☹️ That's a shame.

I'm keeping an eye on my inbox hoping I don't get an email now!

Hopefully you can turn up and grab a set of the spare headphones on the night

Don’t get me wrong, I love pear cider which is refreshing when it’s hot, and I love whisky, which is my go to spirit.  Seems like an odd combination though? Does it really work together?

    I think it really does.

Its a bit like a slightly sweeter old fashioned

  7. Just picked up 12 of these, really yummy!

Also got a bottle of Mead to decant into another vessel before I go. Perfect drink for an evening.

Any other Mead drinkers out there?

  8. Thank you so much for your advice.

I'm in a trailer tent, so will need putting away, so not as simple as getting in and driving away 😂

Think I'll play it by ear possibly, see how I'm doing on the Sunday.

Unfortunately, the boyfriend doesn't drive, so it'll all be done by me

I only once left late on sunday night (from CV East - I have no experience of B&W) and i have to say it was really tough (going back to Cambs so not much different to you)...

even if you are not a big drinker (and i stay dry on Sunday) it is a really tiring week.. Most other times, i have packed as much as possible away on the sunday, back to the van straight after your last act and set the alarm for 6am.. and get off site for 7ish..

In CVE it is easy to get out to the A37 at that time (a steady stream but no queueing as they manage traffic onto the A37) and you are away.. I would imagine that it is even easier from B&W..

Then with a stop at Fleet services on the M3 for breakfast you should be home for lunchtime (barring any unforseen M25 cock up)

    Good luck and enjoy!

  9. To avoid traffic and having to be back home in Essex by middle of Monday, I'm thinking of leaving very late Sunday.

Driving through the night doesn't bother me, nice empty roads etc.

I assume I can just drive out whenever I want on the Sunday/early Monday Am?

very inactive in here today, especially considering the amount of progress on the coop. 👀

I guess because people aren't spending their days at work staring at the webcam 😂
