  1. I've definitely seen a map of another festival where the stages are called "This Stage", "That Stage" and "The Other Stage". Could have been one of the worldwide V Festivals maybe. Imitation is the best form of flattery I guess??

  2. Why oh why do people need to be spoon fed their music these days ?

A band doesn't play their hits or 'the tunes we know' and they're slaughtered.

What happened to discovering something new at a festival.

I'll be honest Radiohead are my favourite band and I was delighted with the set they played, one of the reasons I love them so much is that they have pushed the boundaries over the years and for me are one of the most innovative bands of our generation, hey but by the same token I can accept some people think they're are depressing or just plain shit.

The thing that gets me is that people demand that bands have to play their hits, Id far rather see a band do a one off unique performance, maybe play a full set of covers, than hear the same old, same old, gig in, gig out.

It won't always be good but at least it would be different.

  3. Just out of interest do you sell loads through stock photography?

Too early to say mate as relatively new to it, but you can be certain as with all areas of photography at the moment it's very hard to turn your images into hard cash !

  4. Hi Tristan 119.

Thanks for your comments re the shot, at the moment I only ever post low res images for 2 main reasons, firstly I'm mid way through a photography degree courses so any images may be used for my future course work and the other one is that I use images for stock photography purposes.

    Cheers

  5. Hi there Hello Dave,

Great idea for a Glastonbury photobook, is this just for your personal use or is it something you're looking to publish or make money from, just curious ?

    Cheers

    Ian

  6. Cheers mate,

Different for me this year as well, although for me it was far more indulgence, due to my son being with me for his first Glasto. Really was a last minute thing for us this year, as only found out we had won tickets, Monday the week before the festival.

Anyway look forward to seeing some of your shots in the near future.

  7. it makes sense if you have a number of someone who is onsite as they can get you in far

quicker than you trying to get in on your own.

My crew coach arrives on Tuesday and it has advance clearance to drive straight into red gate and goes directly to our crew camp - as its all sorted out in advance we don't have to be checked - once in the camp we get our crew wristband and then can enter and leave at will.

  8. Caroline that's cool hope you have a great time yourself.

It's quite funny really, as I've seen several people announce they've won tickets in the past and thought, never happens to me, but this time I was proved wrong.

It really does give it a special buzz though being at such short notice.

  9. Hey thanks for everyones comments, to be honest I'm still pinching myself, worried I'll wake up and it was all a dream !

Anyway bring it on now and have a great festival everybody

  10. Having missed out on the ticket and resale days, I'd given up hope of getting down to the festival this year.

So imagine my surprise when I found out by email this afternoon that I'd won 2 tickets for myself and my son in one of the many comps, that I thought I'd tried in vain.

Thank you very much Schuh - Etnies for making not just my day but especially my son's as this will be his first Glastonbury.

    What a result !!!!!!!!!!
