I checked the website and it's still the same prices.....
Maybe they decided to keep the same prices due to aviod backclash of the "poor" headliners?
Nope, they increased the prices!!! it's 83 euros the day ticket (check ticketmaster)

??????????????????

Have in mind that they could be announcing different headliners...

Quebec Festival on 11. July, so Mad Cool is ruled out. Cruilla maaaaayyyyybe
Hmmm it would be crazy, but remember the time difference... if it was a last minute booking...
They wouldn't go to Cruilla though.
EDIT: They are apparently on semi-hiatus though, so I don't think it'll be them.

Lolla Berlin just announced Miley Cyrus.
They usually book their artists in pairs. If Lolla Paris is also announcing, I bet Miley Cyrus is is included there and in Mad Cool.
She was announced days ago! Lolla Paris would have announced her the same day, right? + Lolla Berlin is in september

have you looked at his posts from late last year? look at them and tell me he doesn't know his stuff
You didn't understand what I said. He knows his stuff, okay, I trust you, but he knows stuff about FIB (except The Killers) but this is Mad Cool, not FIB. He could be right, or he could be wrong again. Like I said, take everything you read with a grain of salt, we can't assume it's Mumford just because he said that...

How about Stevie Nicks or Miley Cyrus with Rosalia?
imo Stevie Nicks is not Mad Cool material, she would rather play Primavera Sound...
Miley Cyrus and Rosalia could happen but I think I wouldn't like it at all. + Rosalia is more in the states now hahaha like, she totally forgot about Spain. Aaaand I don't think she's touring in 2020. It's just like Mumford, why her? she's not touring, she's just hanging with the Kardashians and maybe recording new stuff, but that's it.

Remember that there are 2 headline slots, so it could be Mumford and an american band.
Im not an insider but considering the budget of Cruilla festival in spain at least one of the headliners won't be very "expensive"
Mumford and Sons fits perfect with that description and the strokes played at Loola last year so tomorrow they are not going to anounce The Strokes.
I was discussing that before and I thought the same but I think they're lacking another top artist and I don't think it's mumford... really, they don't have any dates announced (well, one, in march, that's it) nor are touring...
I have the feeling it's Miley Cyrus, tbh...
As for the insider, I don't know, the fact that he messed up with Tame Impala made me think that he doesn't really know who are the headliners, at all. Like, the things he said were true, okay, but if he wasn't right about Tame Impala, why would he be right about Mumford?? I think he wasn't the first to come up with them in this forum though...

Imagine Shaw Mendes gets announced and this forum exploit.
OMG I don't think it's him, we already have enough pop artists.

What insider? that person who said that it was gonna be tame impala????
Take EVERYTHING you read with a grain of salt, please. I could easily say "hey I know stuff and it's going to be THIS BAND THAT IS NOT RUMORED ANYWHERE" Would you trust me at all? I wouldn't trust myself tbh
Like I said, it looks like it's an american band/artist...

Apparently the Lollapalooza Paris announcement would be at 12 p.m in USA (the regular time of announcements there), and there are A LOT of other festivals announcing (lolla, roskilde and another fest in spain + mad cool), so it looks like it's a huge american artist rather than mumford... at least that's what I and some of the others in the spanish forum think.

Have an exclusive gig in Spain somewhere... But that hasn't stopped bands breaking those types of contracts before... Some info on it not being a classic rock band though which may include GnR
Their gig in Seville is 100% exclusive in Spain and I don't think they're breaking that deal. + their european tour is during may/early june...

What else did they do?
Were they pressing them to announce early? Can't imagine it was a money issue
I think so, because the clue that ended up being The Killers and Kings of Leon could also apply to The Strokes. They clearly wanted to announce them that day. I think HAIM posted the draft that same day...

So you think we'll find out tomorrow (Wednesday) or Thursday?
more clues tomorrow, announcement on thursday!

They started posting clues on Sunday, not just today. I'm expecting another clue/announcement tomorrow before the price change. By announcing the headliners after the increase they get sales before and after. No point on increasing prices after disclosing the full thing at least from a sales perspective. But MC seems to do pretty stupid things sometimes so... Who knows?
By clue I meant something solid! (like... the letters and all) but yeah, I also think that they are posting another clue tomorrow before the announcement on thursday.

Mumford and Sons are pretty big in Spain. They did both Barcelona/Madrid a year ago with +10k attendance each.
Those numbers ain't easy to make in Spain for an """""indiewhatever""""" band. I'm not sure if KOL would do it, for example.
I can't be less excited about the idea of them being headliners, but they're pretty big in Spain (and for years now, as they've been one of the most succesful bands through fests like Benicassim or BBK in the past).
Are you talking about that 360º concert back in 2018? wasn't it just Madrid? It was really expensive... I don't remember if they sold out or not.
-
I don't think they are big here either! They're known, sure, but not a band that would sell a lot of tickets by taking a headlining spot.
Aaaaand I don't know... why would they post a clue today if they're announcing on thursday? why wouldn't they wait until tomorrow for the clue and then announce on thursday??? If they're announcing on thursday I would expect another clue tomorrow.

Like others here, I don't like Mumford or his Sons.
However, who efestival members like and the general public like can often be miles apart. So they might get trashed here and on other forums but they go down well with the general crowd.
I'm from Spain and imo Mumford wouldn't sell that many tickets. I mean, they're known, but I don't think they have that many fans here...

Two options, Strokes/RB
Munford/ RB.
If its the second option they have to say sorry hahaha cause the difference is tooooooooooo big.
+ RHCP/RB

They could have avoided any speculation about the strokes by putting the bands the other way around the big snakes.
My hopes are up but preparing for the worst also (Mumford and Sons)
well... first one is always the best known so if it ends up being Red Hot Chili Peppers and Royal Blood, there's no way that they could have put Royal Blood before RHCP.
I know that I asked it before BUT do you think that they are announcing tomorrow, or another clue tomorrow and announcement on thursday?
-
But the guy in the spanish forum (an insider) said that Mad Cool wouldn't have to say sorry for their friday headliners (implying that they would be awesome)... if they turn up being Mumford and Sons and Royal Blood... I don't know, but I've seen a lot of people saying that they do not want Mumford, and Royal Blood is not headliner material.
If so, people would be mad as fuck and not precisely in a cool way.

The real question now is... will they announce tomorrow or this thursday?

Seems so, but he also claimed Tame Impala /Royal Blood today before the clue. Whoever his source is was wrong once, so could as well happen again.
This. I took their information with a grain of salt tbh.

that's why I put that "??????????????????????" in the post, because I didn't understand anything lol
well, it's fake, so we can move on to another artist until tomorrow.
No confirmation. I do think that we might get the whole line up tomorrow, that's why they increased the prices tonight. We don't know about medium size acts though... if we did get medium size, I would expect 1 or 2 last minute bands. But I don't think so.
