Easy enough to get tickets, ended up with 2 more than needed but sold them to a mate. Nice little Glasto warm up.

I was dropping the little one off at nursery at 9 but was still trying desperately for Blackpool tickets on my phone and they sold out instantly! On Ticketmaster and See. Damn!

  2. Regarding payment:

I’ll be trying for myself in the coach resale, so have a space to try for someone else.

If unsuccessful in coach resale, I’ll be trying for myself in general resale. So will have 3 spaces to try for others.

If I can get a group sorted for these resales I’m willing to pay full balances on my credit card, provided bank transfer payments can be made straight away.

Similarly, if others in the group get though to tickets first I’m happy for my credit card details to be used for full payment, again provided bank transfer payments can be made straight away.

Why Blackpool? Such an odd choice.

Why not Blackpool? Why is it an odd choice?

Chemical Brothers, Blur and Arcade Fire have played here in recent years and all sold out very quickly.

  4. The thing that bothers me most about guy ropes is that (depending on the tent) they don’t even need to be used. I mean, unless a hurricane is expected to sweep its way through the farm. They’re intended for extra support in high winds.

Some, if not most, tents these days have some kind of front porch/canopy and guy ropes are required for these, which is fair enough. But they’re not needed around the rest of the tent, especially at a festival.

Ooh Bjork as the missing other headliner, is this at least possible? If not probable of course

I think it’s perfectly plausible. She finishes a run of 8 NYC shows at the beginning of June.

Keeping my fingers (and everything else) crossed! ?

its hard in both but very possible ... the more prepared you are the better ... and the more flexible with coach departure points the better .... Ive got tickets both ways before ... persistence is key :)

I think Coach is harder, limited spaces on coaches, we've got multiple people trying for us, gonna get us all on different locations that we're prepared to go from and hope for the best. We got resale coach in 2016 Wednesday from Bham (preferred destination) not sure i'll get that lucky again, London and Bristol have more chances I reckon.

    Thanks for your replies ?

I’ll try for anywhere south of me for coach resale.

All this chat about tickets going back in the pot fills me with hope! ?

How many people are going for coach resale? just curios on here as to how many

There's 4 of us, so split into 2's for the coach, 2 of them are thinking of trying for Thursday coach, thinking it may be easier to get, and they'd rather be there than not go at all. But I love the Thursday, its my fave day, so if i do go, i know i'd be gutted to miss that day.

    Whats peoples thoughts?

I’m gonna try for coach resale and if that fails I’ll try for general resale.

I only need the one ticket for myself, and if I did somehow manage to get through it would be an awful waste just to get the one ticket. So I’m happy to help others out if they’d do the same for me ?

In everyones’ experience, is it easier or harder to get coach resale than general?

  8. Hey everyone,

Just thought I’d introduce myself. This will hopefully be my first Glasto this year (just the slight hurdle of snagging a resale ticket - I’m quietly confident lol).

I’ve been to a fair few festivals around the UK and Europe but never Glastonbury. Don’t even really know why. I’ve always wanted to go and every year make a deal of spending Glasto weekend glued to BBC red button!

Anyway, long story short I’ll be heading on my own (provided I manage to get that golden ticket). So it would be great if I could somehow manage to meet some new friends with or without similar musical tastes. Just so I’m not a complete loner lol.

Although I’ve not really posted before, I have been reading the forums for a while and everyone seems super nice.

    John.

  9. Hey, I’ll now be going on my own (if I’m lucky enough to snag a resale ticket). My brother can no longer go due to work commitments.

So I’m in exactly the same boat as you. Would be great to grab a drink/see some bands/have a camping buddy or group ?
