But if you look at what theyve booked in Regards  to Jay Z, Beyonce and Kanye, they booked artists that balanced the line of commercial and critical acclaim. Those 3 transcend their  respective genres on top of that. Frank Ocean does not transcend anything at this moment. And why would you book somebody that could just cancel on you last minute? Coachella has a back up plan if Frank Ocean decides to not show up, Glasto  isnt going to go to those lengths if they dont have to.

I think you’ve hit the nail on the head, he’s a hugely risky booking going off his previous history, probably not worth the hassle as well as not being commercially popular in the UK!

Boy harsher and Bauhaus would be deal breaker...most Bauhaus fans don't care for Tyler, and most Tyler fans don't even know what Bauhaus is

I’d of thought with Bauhaus being quite an exclusive booking they wouldn’t clash with the headline act, but then again, what do I know. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Nope, this isnt the u.s where. the audience for Coachella actually has a choice to go to the festival because he is there. Everyone that has a Glasto ticket isnt in that position. Has Frank Ocean shown he could be a draw in the UK? last time I check he has not done anything to make the Eavis’ think he is worth it to book. Does he get constant radio airplay at all? Barely made an impression on the charts. Can you ask some random person in London who Frank Ocean is or to name a song and get a correct answer?

Yeah I thought as much, Glastonbury at its roots is a celebration of all types of music, but pop does tend to take front and centre!

I think we'll get Frank Ocean.

Couldn't care less about him, would be fun to see what that did to primavera topic though.

I was a bit gutted when Frank wasn’t announced for Prima, I already have tickets and said to my partner I’ll only be annoyed if he’s announced for another festival... a tour is fine.

Don’t think I could justify two abroad festivals 😂

  5. How does payment typically work, I would have thought any registered people who got a ticket just got e-mailed to say they owe payment or is it a pay on the day situation?

in which case whatever’s easiest? PayPal surely?

  6. Saw them at Leeds festival in 2009, we headed into the mosh pit and one of our mates was absolutely paggered drunk, anyway, he was getting thrown around the mosh pit something naughty and during the song break stuff, in a moment of perfect timing just after Fred screams "I'm gonna break your fucking face tonight!" as the song boots off on one, someone decided to left hook our boy clean out. Sounds harsh but I was bad laughing at the perfect harmony of it all!

He walked in that moshpit with a dappy hat on and a hoody tied around his neck like a Batman cape, I lost him in the moshpit and found him randomly wandering shouting my name during Cypress Hills set and all he had on was trousers and a bloody t-shirt!

    10/10 would do again.

  7. Bought our tickets yesterday based off of the current line up as it stands! Anything else is a bonus for me, was hoping for Fleetwood Mac but that seems doubtful, I’ll take whatever we can get at this point, frank ocean would be the dream situation but the guy is hard to catch!

I think they’ve posted sth on the socials a while back that the currently planned shows will be the only European dates this Summer or year, making Pinkpop their only festival gig.

Edit: strangely I can’t seem to find it anymore.

Just seems odd, that they wouldn’t have announced if it was an act that is playing at Glastonbury... hopefully we will hear some news this week.

as the black keys aren’t a huge announcement really
